Do we know why Clamping works?

I myself did a lot of clamping and gained some(0,2-0,6 cm), especially base girth.

But what actually happens during clamping to the tissue. Mechanically and on the cell level for example? Any ideas?

Best guess.
Regarding the common increase in base girth I think you answered that yourself in your thread on pre stretching the tunica.
Compressing the erect tunica under a clamp will stretch the longitudinal layer and theoretically allow the inner layer to expand.
This was the reasoning behind Xenos multicamp and tiger trap set up.

Originally, the theory was that by slowing the venous “outflow” of blood, the blood flowing in at a normal rate expanded the erectile chambers beyond their current capacity, leading to growth in the tunica. Then the theory was put forward that the stress placed against the tissue by the edge of the clamp itself was causing inflammation and then cell growth in the clamp adjacent tissue. I think both theories are right. You can gain via both those mechanisms, although I believe the second idea has more potential for growth.

Everything I’ve read suggests it is stretching the tunica. Which makes sense, since clamping works so much better (pressure from inside) than pumping (pressure from outside/fluid buildup)

;)

Yeah a lot happens right at the clamp position. Xenos picture of it many years ago made sense on the basic forces.

But only the tunica? What happens to the smooth muscles?

There a lot of clamp gains for the whole dick reported, mid girth..

And I observed that practically pumping and clamping. What do you think happens to smooth muscles and blood vessels during both?

Yeah, something must happen during increased expansive pressure on the tunica.

Probably they transport blood through them?

Smooth muscle relaxes and blood vessels fill with blood :)

There’s a type of girth surgery that a guy on here had some years ago.
It basically involved cutting the tunica lengthways and grafting in softer tissue ( think it was from veins )
Then all you had to do was get plenty of erections as it healed.
The grafts allowed the tunica to stretch further than before and the soft tissues of the CCs expanded naturally to fill the space, no growth required.
The tunica is the thing holding gains back for sure.

I’ve had larger than normal girth measurments after hanging sessions, nothing has grown only the longitudinal fascia has been temporarily stretched allowing the CCs to fill up a bit more.

Hi,

There are 2 different clamping methods that I have primarily dealt with. The first is using the clamp to block the outflow of blood, and thus causing a similar condition to what priapism victims experience. Excess blood pressure pushing the walls past 100% erect. The second is applying the clamp after getting 100% erect.. Vets only should be trying that.. Way too much pressure for newbies. Either way, the internal pressure over time breaks down the walls of the tunica, (which can take 4-6 weeks typically if the guy is consistent) and the walls begin to separate to the point that the separations can be felt beneath the skin while semi-erect. It will feel like woven sweater (small bumpy pattern) texture or even granular depending upon the level the tunica tissues are broken down. The separations call upon the body to repair them, and the growth occurs when new cells are created. I find that stress applied over time to be the fastest way to create girth gains as a result. Its the exact same explanation the extender companies give for length, but applied to girth creation. Thanks.

Howdy.! Work smarter, not harder and learn from others mistakes. Photo verified start at 8" bpfs x 6.25" base. Currently 8.6.25 bpfs" x 6.375" msg. New goal 9" bpel x 7" msg.

Exactly. Only prolonged erections(4h+) at 100%+ can impact a matured tunica to actually increase the size.(like high flow priapism)
That’s obviously why there wont be many who gain with the AM method alone beyond newbie gains.. ;)

The structure of the Tunica contains the tissue below and maintains the shape.
The TGC theory made always sense to me in its basic premise that you need to work Tunica and Smooth Muscle in an educated way.
But without Tunica work there will never be profound changes.

Agree. Always use time and frequency increase first. It softens the impact curve and helps avoid injury.
Research on tendons(similar to tunica) are very clear on this.

Totally blocking the outflow is like low flow priapism. In most cases such priapism will kill the dick.
The cases were the dick maintained it’s function were mostly “lucky” high flow priapisms.
