Masturbation Jelqing?

So from what I’ve seen lurking around it could be. I looked up what jelqing was, and it just looks like masturbating to me (not to say it doesn’t work). If you mean if it affects gains of other techniques, I don’t know. I have found it removes the thickness of pumping, but that is temporary anyway. I’d think masturbation only affects gain in a positive way.

Jelqing is not masturbating.

Edging is masturbating without the orgasm.

There is no simple or definitive answer. And everyone wants easy answers.
Even in simple search you get over 600 results. It is a good place to start. And good luck sorting that out.
This is all DIY PE. There are some scientific-ish methods, but no real double blind type studies. It is “here is what did and did not work for me.” And this is valuable information; YMMV.
But remember god knows all, sees all. And why is he watching us all masturbate? I think that is called voyeurism.
When I started pumping back in the dark ages, I didn’t even know it was a legit PE method. I did it because it felt good, and sometimes I orgasmed. So yeah for me apparently PE and masturbating were the same thing. Did I have noticeable gains? Yes, I noticed, and an off again on again gf noticed. Would I have had more gains had I been more methodical with no orgasms? Only god knows and that kinky motherfucker ain’t talking.
Do I masturbate? Hell yes. Do I orgasm sometimes? Yes. Do I edge (maintain a prolonged state of high arousal)? Pretty much every day. Am I satisfied with my “erection quality” (yeah, do a search for that). Am I gaining? I only restarted a couple weeks ago.
Anyway I now keep my exercises and my edging separate. It is more methodical. And I go by how I feel.
I would give up PE if it interfered too much with my edging.
But I would not give up edging.
So get good info and do what works for you.

As far as I know there isn’t a consensus on that. It’s been asked for over 20 years. Masturbation itself won’t affect gains, ejaculating is the center of discussion. My opinion is like everything in PE, what work for some might not work for others.

Why I asked if jelqing was masturbation is because the tutorials I saw on Jelqing were similar to how I masturbate. I can imagine that, if you masturbate similarly to jelqing, you might see some gains.

It’s all about if you are saving the load or dropping the load. The idea is that if you keep the cream in the carton, we can avoid retraction and heal in a more elongated state. That’s the traditional idea.

Personally I drop loads every day, that’s just how I roll:-)

I know my experience is limited compared to others on this forum, but I’ve found that semen retention combined with limiting myself to edging only during workouts has worked wonders in building EQ. Better EQ means I’m getting more blood flow so it’s getting more engorged than ever when I edge, especially if it’s been a week or more since last ejaculation. Higher engorgement might lead to faster girth gains.

Also, not ejaculating leaves my flaccid slightly fuller and more engorged than normal, which I hope leads to post workout healing causing an overall bigger flaccid size.

And in general, better blood flow down there is good for overall penis health
