Hi, I have a question about dry jelqing… There seems to be a consensus that a newbie should start with 25 dry jelqs per session, while newbie routine recommends 200 wet jelqs.
Are dry jelqs really so much harder for penis than wet jelqs that one should do 8x less repetitions? Is 25 dry jelqs really equal to 200 wet jelqs?

I’d appreciate some insight on this topic because I’m just starting out PE and I’d like to maximize my newbie gains, so why do 25 if doing e.g. 50 is not too much? :)
Of course, is 25 is really enough, I’ll keep doing 25 (like in previous PE sessions so far). In that case, at which rate should I add more repetitions?

It is best to start out with low reps. That way you start to condition your dick to receiving exercise without straining things. As you progress you can add to the number of jelqs. You have to listen to what your dick is telling you,

If you are getting longer flaccids, and your erections seem fuller then you are doing things right and can continue on that path with gentle increases.

If it looks white and you are hard when flaccid then you are overdoing it.

Those are the extremes. you have to watch your dick and react to what it is telling you accordingly

Dry jelqs are tough on the skin my used to chaff all the time

Wet jelqs are kinder to the skin

As far as I have read one does length and one does width

Take it easy on the dry jelqs till your skin toughens up dude

Nah, sounds like you’re gripping too hard dude. A good indicator of a successful jelq I find is seeing the veins swell not the entire shaft.

If you jelq with a lower erection level you’re pulling on the penis as you go up creating a stretch on the tunica and ligs. If you’re jelqing with a high(er) erection level you’re expanding the penis forcing blood into the smooth muscle. You are doing both at either level to an extent but more so in either direction you go erection level wise.

Yes, that makes sense.

I’m doubtful that 25 dry jelqs will generate a similar fatigue as 200 wet; they do seem to be more intense, just not to the suggested extent. In my experience it is probably closer to a 2:1 relationship.

Even as a newbie I would do more than 25. I guess the best advice is just to follow your PIs though.

I’ve done only 3 PE sessions so far (and got positive PIs), I’ll measure in a month and see how much I’ve gained, then decide what to do next. I’ll probably increase manual stretches a bit after first 2-3 weeks.

At you, then00bn00b. If you use a light touch more along the lines of stimulating your penis I find the body just pumps blood in. Lighter is better and its not a race. If you go too hard early on you’re going to condition your penis making it harder to gain later.

Makes sense, but what brought you to the conclusion that I grip hard? :) Because I don’t, it’s neither hard nor soft.

I do dry jelqs if I haven’t got much time, but if I have time and privacy wet jelqs feel like they create much better expansion, and they really give me much better fullness and hang after jelqing, which lasts quite a while. I prefer wet.

Does anyone use regular vaseline as lube for jelqing? Trying not to make a mess in the mornings. Seems like this approach may reduce friction & just a warm wipe down at finish. Any thoughts or advice are welcome.

I think coconut oil is more practical, however I use bathmate maxaut, bye.

I do both on a daily basis now and have done so for two weeks. I’ve already started seeing changes.

I will mix it up between dry and wet using baby oil. As soon as my wife sees the baby oil on my dick, she immediately pulls her pants down and wants an oil rub down on her ass. I ask her not to interrupt my routine, unless she wants me to slip it in which then completely destroys my routine.

I find that the oil really gets everything warmed up and provides a nice silky, smooth jelq. I am uncut, so I use my foreskin for jelqing part of the time, and then retract the foreskin for a better stretch, wet or dry. This routine has now become the best part of my day..
