I just crossed 900 hours, putting in 3.3 hours today. The extender takes some time to acclimate to. I have the X4 and with that there are three components to stretch and tension.
1. Bar length
2. Base screw extension
3. Index bar tension.
Spend the first hundred hours finding your feel with the strap. My typical time in tension is between 30 minutes to an hour. My longer runs happen within the first one to two sets. Then they drop to 30 minutes per set before needing a break for circulation purposes.
Below is my technique for strapping in, which I developed organically and I suspect is different amongst many.
1. Unit in zero extension requires me to be in full stretch to get into. It is a bit of an art to hold full stretch while strapping in.
A. Push down on extender with palm (there should be some squeeze in the springs).
B. With that same hand I pull the head of penis into full extension. Also important is to COMPLETELY pull the base of the penis and skin through the base of the extender. This is a nuance that I over looked for a long time, but essential for maximizing full stretch as comfortably as possible. Also an art to execute.
C. My strap compression is either two clicks and three clicks. or three clicks on both sides (less compression), which I can do as I begin to “grow” into whatever my latest setting is.
2. Next I unscrew the base screws until they back out from the base, then I do a quarter turn to anchor them back in.
3. I then bring the index tensions bars into full tension.
I have thus far ran the above protocol through two 0.50” extension bar additions, I am on the second extension addition now.
When I require little strap compression and the tension bars don’t index much, I know it’s time to increase the length of the extension bars.
I am probably some 600 hours now from increasing my bars. So that will be 1500 hours total before my next increase.
The extender is great in that it provides a solution for extended periods of time under tension, which is perfect since PE result are probably 80% time (or more) and the rest technique (my opinion).
I will say this, the extender is by nature not comfortable. However, through sheer will and determination I have learned to appreciate and even enjoy strapping into it and logging the time. I log every minute.
Enjoy the process.
