Hi,

I just started doing PE 1 week ago, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it right because I loose my erection after a few minutes doing the jelqs, I see many people have the opposite problem, they get a full erection. I don’t know if I’m putting to much pressure on my dick, for right now what I do is that when I loose my erection I masturbate a little to get it back to 60% - 80%.but is ok if I stop the jelqs for a few seconds? What else ca I do to keep it at 80%?

I am currently doing dry jelqs and my grip is not very hard at all, just enough to feel that blood is being pushed forward ahead of my grip, towards the glans. I do them standing up and each “stroke” is between 3 and 5 seconds. When you do them slowly, I find it really helps with keeping the erection level and it is also easy to adjust your grip strength when you go slow.

The first 40 or 50 jelqs feels like I am not doing much of anything, but by the end of the session I end up with a super erection that definitely feels heavier and bigger, so be patient and don’t worry if it feels like you are not achieving much “pump”, it will build if you are slow and steady.

Otherwise, lots of guys post that they re-stimulate an erection several times during a session and it doesn’t seem to be a problem.

Clamping isn’t something you should do at this time since you only have one week of PE experience under your belt. Take a look at this to learn more: Clamping 101.

This is normal for some people. I just do mine in sets of 30. Do 30, massage back to desired erection level. Repeat until all my jelqs are done.

The best advice I have heard of grip strength was from KingPole — slightly stronger than masturbation grip. Especially if you are a newbie. You can increase the grip later once you are conditioned.
