Heat source for PE

Just wondering what kind of heat source you use for PEing and why?

I use a cup full of hot water to warm up and I feel that it gives me a very good warm up before I start to exercise

I like the microwaveable heating pads. Don’t apply directly; you need a towel or layers of washcloth or something in between.

heat lamp does me wonders, kinda sweaty during the summer time but it works well and I can PE infront of the lamp. Good solid heat through out my session.

I am using a rice sock which I heat up in the microwave before applying.
Just have to be careful with the heat - got some mild burns in the beginning.

And I store it in a plastic box with lid during my PE session, so it’s still warm for the warm-down at the end.
Practical, easy and clean.

But I admit with winter starting to drop in I think about purchasing a infrared lamp for all-session-long heating.
As far as I have understood the topic heat seems to be one of the keys to success.
So why not applying it permanently?

Hi !! Do you have the complete PE routine in front of the heat lamp ?

Yah I use a cup full of hot water throughout my workout it makes my workout a lot longer but I feel a difference.
My workout goes like this:

5min hot water
5min stretches
5min hot water
5min stretches
5min hot water
5min wet jelqs
5min hot water
5min wet jelqs
5min hot water

So it adds up to about 45 minutes

Hot shower for 5 minutes + all stretches under it. Boom, killer mixture.

Infrared lamps, I switched from hot showers to IR-lamps and they are truely great!

Your water/ electricity bill must be off the charts.

Well I live with my parents( I know, I know embarassing but I’m 18 and a student) and so far they haven’t complained about water/electricity bills. But they DO complain because I spend 1h in the shower training :D
I think that water/electricity is very cheap in my country.

For those of you who use the IR lamps is there a certain brand or kind that you would recommend or are they all the same?

I use a Qfiber infrared wrist wrap. I use it for warming up and throughout my hanging sessions.

I got my advice from Firegoat, make sure that the lamp is 150w (I got one and its great) . I dont think one type of brand makes a difference.
