How important is consistency

How important is consistency

I don’t have a very private lifestyle right now so I find it difficult to stay on a consistent routine. Will I see any gains from doing the newbie routine 3 times a week? Just how important is consistency? When I used to workout I only lifted for about 3 days a week, is this the same concept with PE? Is there anyone out there who can recommend a fast and discrete routine. It is almost impossible to get a hot wrap because of my current living conditions. It is very rare that everyone is asleep at the same time. Our house is always busy. Any and all recommendations are welcome.

Hi and welcome.

No, body building routines and PE routines are not the same. They do have one thing in common, consistency.

A consistent routine will net you gains better than an inconsistent routine. Now, having said that, if you can only PE 3 days a week, don’t sweat it, rest days are important. Warm ups are important, not over doing is very important. Read the newbie routine, its linked in my favorites, adjust it to your needs and happy jelqing.

Remember this when it comes to PE, it is not a sprint (hence fast) it is a marathon, it takes time and dedication to see gains. They will not happen over night, and injuries are more prevalent when you try and go to fast with PE. Also, read the thread on Positive and Negative indicators (also linked in my favorites) and listen to your body.

Where there is a will, there is a way, keep that in mind as well.

I don’t have a lot of experience with PE under my belt but I agree with Sunshinekid that consistency is important in both PE and body building. Three days a week seems to me a lot better than no days a week. Once you see the results from diligent PE, you’ll make time in your life. You could always say your taking a poOp for about 10 minutes to get your jelqing done in that time and stretch before bed or when you first wake up. I don’t assume to know your situation but you get the point.

Seeking

This has been answered already, but I want to make an additional point.

Consistancy is key. It is pretty much THE most important thing to remember as long as you PE to the right direction (pull your penis out, don’t push it in, my friends). There are a lot of exercises here and pretty much any of them will help you gain just as long as you do them consistantly. We aren’t talking about days or weeks here. Several months. Take one rest day too much and it sets you back. Face it, it’s a lifestyle choice. You need to keep it up even on the days that you wouldn’t have time. Manual routines are handy because of this as you can do them in any bathroom of your choosing without having a briefcase full of equipment.

"Be aware that there are several schools of thought here as well. Some seem to go with the hard and heavy approach. The sessions are brutal. You can hear them talking to their dick: You better grow mofo or I will punish you even harder tomorrow! Others seem to favor a more tender approach. Always listening to what their member is saying while massaging it gently and singing to it with a soft voice. If it is moody and not happy with new behavior, they always listen and are very understanding."

The best way to find out is trying! I guess you will. Less is much more than nothing.

I’m is the same boat with lack of privacy. I’m trying to compensate using any opportunity (each visit to the bathroom, toilet, a few minutes being alone, in the bed before sleeping) to make some stretches and/or jelqs.

Yes, consistency is important. I tried PE a while back but didn’t commit to a routine. I certainly wish I had after seeing my first months gains. I would have hit my goal long before now.

Yes consistency seems to be the key but 3 times a week is not that bad. I doubt anyone should do it more than 5 times a week. Also, I think quality in the exercise is very important so that you do not rush jelqs and stretches but really feel what you are doing and what is happening.

I too have problems to find time so sometimes I do it perhaps 3 times in a week, then 5 days in a row, then 3 days off, 1 day PE another 2 days off and then 4 days in a row, sometimes 2 times in a day, sometimes mixing exercises that I seldom do with my normal routine etc. But still, I get gains.

eh… I’m not so sure about that, I think you might be exaggerating the importance of consistency. Yes it is important, that’s for sure, but I think the cumulative effect is more important than consistency, as long as you don’t take 2-3 days off often I think it should be ok.

Not taking more than 2-3 days off often would be a fairly consistent routine.

Consistency is far more important than cumulative effect. People who are consistent usually get results. Guys who do PE ‘on and off’ for years constantly get and lose results, and end up very little bigger than they started. However, 3 times a week is a fairly consistent routine and should give good growth. A month of enthusiastic PE a couple of times a year does not work well in the long term.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

In March, April and May, I’ve seen my gains come to mostly a stand still. Yes, newbie gains happen quick, everything else takes time, but I think I could have made measurable gains in this time if I had been more consistent. I think conistency is more important than whatever actual routine you do, but that is just the opinion of someone who has been in the game for 6 months.

My goal is to be the best me, mind, body and soul, PE is part of achieving the best me.
