Is it possible to kegel too much

I kegel often: In the shower, when I’m laying down in bed, while listening to music—sometimes during class when I get bored, etc. Well, I know that it’s possible to jelq and stretch too much, but is it possible to kegel too much? I over-jelqed last Thursday, but I’ve pretty much recovered from that; and even though I kegel often, I don’t experience any injuries.

My question is this: Is it possible to injure your penis by kegeling too much? I don’t want to get carried away in my kegeling exercises and accidentally injure myself.

Nah, almost definitely not; kegeling too much can wear out the muscle though, so give it a rest when it feels tired.

A kegel is basically just a forced muscle contraction of the BC muscle. Like any other muscle, it can be overworked. This usually results in ‘soreness’ and mild erection difficulties, but you will not cause permanent damage. Like any other muscle, it builds strength when it is fully recovered from a kegel session, so make sure you give it enough recovery time.

Some people have found that when they have been doing too much, they get involuntary kegeling during sex and masturbation, causing them to lose control of their ejaculations, rather than gaining control of them.

IMO its better to try and hold kegels longer rather than do lots of quick ones beecause I ALWAYS use kegels during sex to keep ejaculation away as long as possible. At first I couldnt hold a kegel very long so obviously you have to start slow but try and build them up. I do 2 or 3 reps of 10second holds ramdomly throughout the day and its working great for me. During sex sometimes my dick can get so sensitive it starts to hurt a little(!) but when I squeeze out a long kegel the pain goes straight away. Some men talk about how they come to PONR just before their girl feels like she is about to cum but they have to slow down to control themselves (possibly hindering the girls pleasure), when I feel the BC starting to contract, I squeeze only gently but for as long as I can because it tenses the muscle and controls the contractions which eventually die down so I can go longer! Realise that that was a little off topic but just thought I’d give you some of my experience with kegeling to make it a bit easier for you. Also, like firegoat said if you do overdo it, it will get tired and if you have sex with a tired BC it will be harder to control your ejaculation.

That’s because you weren’t relaxing completely between contractions, Peps.

It’s also true when you are starting out if you do high numbers of reps the muscle will be sore.

Well I haven’t been kegeling for at least 5 days now, I’m suffering from piles (haemorrhoids). I went to the hospital to get me a syringe in my ass (ouch!) and now I have to go back monthly to get my syringe. I still can do kegels though, but I think that doing kegels is making the piles worse. So I lay back on doing them, about 50 a week now..

Hey Peps, I got the same problem as you two weeks ago. I found out that ice in my ass (yes in the ass, you could try close to the anus if you want) really stops the inflammation. I will start to kegel again by next week.
