Length Before Girth

I’ve been doing length and girth exercises together or on separate days.

Yesterday I came across a post that said people should focus on length before girth, or else length would be harder to achieve.

Is this true? Can someone explain it to me?

I searched for it but didn’t come up with much.

I’m completely and utterly spit balling here, because I have no clue, but I imagine it’s because if your girth is thicker, there are more cells to elongate/split to induce growth.

Though, in saying that, plenty of guys with >5.5” girth have gained lots of length, and the jelqing process does add girth.

Its pure mythology and makes no sense. A lot of the things written about PE are very poor deduction and not well reasoned. As you gain length of your penis you will sacrifice some tiny amount of girth since it is just mother nature. Now, the very small girth loss maybe in different places of the shaft but usually it is near the base to mid-shaft. There is no logic in saying you should go after one before the other (this is pure stupidity) just about anything you are doing will effect both length and girth (obviously, there are better exercises for one over the other but in essence you are effecting both.) Even in hanging you are stretching the physiology and effecting both.

So, it does not matter at all what sequence of exercises you are doing. When the penis elongates you will not have perfect proportionality on both x and y axis, it makes no sense. Would you accept a 2 inch gain in length for a 2-3mm loss in girth…? Its a moot point but it gets bent out of shape because guys freak out about their penis and the issue snowballs down the mountain. So, just forget about it.

There is no consensus on this is issue, some believe big girh/harder gains, others believe it doesn’t matter.

The nature of scientific research is to propose theories and through experiment, prove or disprove said theory. So the “things written about PE [with] very poor deduction and [are] not well reasoned” still have weight whether they have useful applications or not. Many people gain girth with length based routines, just browsing the progress reports forum you can see guys that ADS or hang that gain girth and length. Not many notice girth decreases.

It’s not stupidity, it’s preference. You could aim for both at the same time, like with Mem’s routine.

Also, “x and y axis”. Your penis gains length in three dimensions; x, y and z.

I do agree that the whole “go for girth after length” hype is somewhat nonsensical, but (for me at least) some may be okay with the girth at which they’re at when they start PE and strive for both length and girth gains, yet place preferential stress on length. Girth can take a seat on the back burner as many may want length a bit more than they want girth.

Another point to make is that girth exercises, for the most part, are fairly stressful on the unconditioned penis. So, and I’m assuming here, that’s why guys may take on girth after they’re conditioned their penis from a mainly length gaining routine. That’s why I haven’t touched girth exercises yet, at least (bar jelqing).

There’s no reason why you can not aim for both simultaneously.

In my opinion, girth exercises toughen the tissues in penis more than length exercises do.

Of course, regardless of my opinion, either type of exercise can be performed in a way that could overly toughen tissues, making it more difficult when you switch from length to girth (or girth to length).

Choose which is more important to you and work on that first.

EQ is a factor

I started out focusing on length and got good gains using an extender. However I do have EQ issues (I am 67) and after reading Avocet8s posts on pumping and EQ I decided to pump as well. I then moved on to dynamic pumping (HomerJS) and am now using a Mr Fantastic electric pump. As well as further improvements in EQ I found I was now growing in girth more so than length. So I thought perhaps I should ease up on the pumping and do more extending.

However EQ is king and length without EQ is not much use. Also I understand it is easier to have good EQ with larger girth whereas if I gain another inch in length with the same girth my EQ may suffer. So I have decided to keep pumping full on. I am also keeping up my extender routine and am hoping for some more length gains. The only extra element is that I just acquired a silicone sleeve to wear while pumping which may give some length gain. I started a thread on that and will post when I get a better hang on it.

It would good though if we could get a better handle on how best to gain in both girth and length.

I just started back on an old routine where I concentrated on length/girth on alternate days. It provided great results back then so I figure it was time to cycle back to it.


Starting stats: 7.5" BPEL x 6.2" MEG

Current Stats BPEL: 8.2" [NBPEL: 7.6"] EG: 6.8" - Goal: 9x7 and beyond

It’s listed in detail over several months (and posts) at another forum I frequent and contribute to (http://www.pegy m.com/forums/pr … ereoks-log.html - look around page 10 is where it starts). There was a period of time when I conducted sessions twice a day - I really wish I could go back to that but alas the schedule these days don’t afford me the time.

But basically I split my routine up and concentrated on length one day, then girth on other days - I called them Long Days and Fat Days. Long days were basic stretches and some time in my LengthMaster and Fat Days consisted of clamping and pumping. Again, take a look at the log and see if there’s anything there that you can benefit from.
