Length Size Never Looks Like Ruler Measurement!

Thoughts on this:

So looking in the mirror, standing facing my left so I’m seeing my dick from a side view, it never quite looks as big as what the rules says. So I’m 6.8 bpel, which means I’m about 6.5” nbpel. But it always looks smaller from this side view! I’m thinking, geez what do I have to be 8” to have a big looking cock from different angles?

Also optically even when I’m measuring my 6.8” bpel, looking down at my dick, it never looks that big. And I know 6.8” isn’t huge by any means at all, but it always just seems smaller optically from my viewpoint.

Watching porn, which I know isn’t necessarily a great thing to compare to but hey it’s when I see dicks so lol, these guys seem long all around from different angles. I do know they purposely use certain angles and camera techniques to make cocks look even bigger, but even POV blowjobs seem like dicks look bigger than when my dick is in that POV BJ position. Their dicks from a side view look long. Granted they’re bigger than me but I guess I’m always surprised how my side angle almost seems like it’s only like a 5.5” length.

Any of you guys have similar observations?

I guess I’m really striving for an aesthetically pleasing dick. Like I want it to look big and thick and intimidating lol just sometimes it seems like I’m so far off from that. If I was starting with a 7” nbpel then I could say yeah it’s realistic that in a year I could be at like 8”; starting at like 6.5” bpel, now basically 6.8-6.9”, I feel like it’s going to be so hard to get to even 7.5”. Realistically, I’m 6 months what could I achieve? I know it’s hard to say because everyone grows differently, but is reaching 7.5” bpel in the next 6 months realistic?

Would stretching AND my Bathmate be conducive towards getting that desired .6” growth?

Also I know I have a life long goal of PE length and girth length, but I’m also the type of person that thrives on setting shorter term goals along the way, hence my 6 month realistic or perhaps unrealistic goal.

Look at a pump with a gauge after six months. The best short term goal you can have is to stay consistent for six months.

We all see our bodies differently. I see my dick bigger on a mirror than looking directly at myself,and it’s mostly our brain playing tricks on us. Also beware that in porn they can use different lenses to make things look bigger from the same perspective, and also the girls are quite small so our brains tend to associate it with a bigger dong (you know, things look bigger when compared with something smaller than when looking at them alone).

It took me 6 years to reach 8 inches. And yes. It still looks small to me as well. Still working on it.

I think everybody will agree with you on this one, that is just our percepcion and brain is probably doing its part aswell.

I am curious about something actually, question for those who have officialy gained ‘significant’ size, could you be sure that you have gained before you check that with a ruler ? Can you be certain that you have gained size until you double check measurment which will finally confirm that you did? Will our eye and perception notice the diference without ruler ?

1-2 inch more or less make no difference to your eyes.

To really make a big difference you need a very thin slender frame, small hands etc. so all the things a good porn casting looks at.

I think, for most, the acknowledgment of endowment is not progressive ; it works with a mental cap. We built a clear conscious or unconscious mental picture of what is impressive, big, and as long as it doesn’t match that picture, even by 1cm, we can’t recognize it’s almost there.

To my eyes, I look tiny as well. I know that it’s only a perception thing. For some reason, my brain is telling my eyes that I have a tiny dick. The ruler and tape say otherwise, but I still can’t get my eyes on board. I don’t believe that growing any larger will change that perception.

No, I don’t think you’ll notice without a ruler. Growth takes so long we get accustomed to seeing the size. I remember I went a year without measuring. I was shocked to learn I’d gained an inch in length. It simply didn’t look bigger but the ruler confirmed it was.

It doesn’t register that you’re gaining if you just look in the mirror. I’ve a trusty ruler which I’ve scratched into as I’ve reached certain milestones. If I hadn’t started marking in this way I wouldn’t believe the gains.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, and it does makes sense that we are not able to realize the growth since, as you said, it is a long and slow procces and we are used to those daily changes… until we use the ruler and see a positive surprise.

I hope I will have a same shocking surprise as well one day, since I really do not check and I am not keen to check every day/week/month… I am just really enjoying the PE and trying to believe truly that gains will come, and information you and other guys provided is just what I needed to know.

I stopped measuring for a year after I saw initial gains. After the gains I knew it was possible. I bought in and put the ruler away. If you would have asked me the day before I measured if I gained, I would have said no.

It’s why my pumping cylinder has inches etched in in so I can track progress.

I also think I’m almost the same size as I used to be.

My best way to know I grew is the fact that my wife now asks me to go slower at the beginning of penetration, now she can’t deep throath as deep as before, and when aroused and I go balls deep, she really reacts differently and mentions that it’s reaching deeper.

That’s better than a ruler!

But answering the topic, I do think I’m small looking at the mirror
