Looking for a rebuttal to this negative PE Claim

Hello,

I read this on a forum and I was curious what some responses might be. I think a lot of it is fear-mongering.

“One of the scary things is that most of the side effects involving stretching etc. are not immediate, they can show up years after.

It causes scar tissue to form or pulls the penis out of its ‘socket’, which might not seem like a problem immediately but will cause problems years later, and many men might either not make the connection or want to admit they broke their own dick. —-xx,Basically PE is a good way to actually give yourself Peyronies disease, (EDIT: PE can cause scar tissue and scar tissue is an important feature of Peyronies- I was wrong to draw a direct connection between them) which can cause pain and/or make sex more difficult. xx—- Nerve damage, and thus desensitizing your penis, is another possibility; like an extreme ‘deathgrip’.

Gains, IF any gains truely exist and are not imagined as part of body dysmorphia, are so small compared to the devastating side effects. You can very easily see no effects, and yet still have damaged your penis for the future.

Part of the way ‘gains’ in length appear to be made is by pulling the penis out of its ‘socket’. The penis has a substructure that extends into the body. Its that ‘hidden’ structure that supports your erection, the same way the hidden part of a nail in a wall supports a coat or a painting hanging from it. Some of those exercises pull your penis out, which many or may not give the appearence of adding a very small amount of length, but will impact the strength of your erection, basically giving yourself ED.

If you are concerned about what women think, when women actually do talk about penises these ‘exercises’ and stupid weights and contraptions are something they laugh at or are horrified by or both.”

I’d rather not respond to stupidity. To spend the time to refute all those stupid points is a waste. It’s nice outside and that’s where I’m going.

You can injure yourself with PE and should be cautious about what you’re doing and how you’re doing it, like never doing passive PE while sleeping. People with underlying conditions that cause Peyronie’s disease almost certainly would cause increasing injury to their penis using techniques that don’t seem to harm others.

Some PE techniques seem to carry a higher risk than others, I think the most intuitive techniques (just pull as hard as you can) carry the most risk, I don’t think there’s much about PE that is intuitive. People intuitively pull on their penis anyway; sharing info about the practices we do, what works, what doesn’t, what resulted in injury, serves to inform men about something they’re doing anyway and probably reduces the total injuries over all. I think light pumping (5 inHg and under) is pretty low risk and it has a growing track record of safety with urologist prescription of VED pumps.

The penis isn’t in a socket, you can feel the base of your penis running along you pelvic floor, if length gains were from pulling the penis out of place, you’d notice it along your pelvic floor and so would urologists.

Gains are real, and can be substantial. I think sharing info will gradually lead to a much higher success rate, more effective and safer practices.

What women say they find desirable and what they actually find desirable are not always the same thing.
