Need Help With C Grip

Need Help With C Grip

I have seen several postings recommending the C grip for jelqing over the conventional OK grip. However, I am unclear about how to actually perform this type of jelq even after watching the video and haven’t been able to find what the advantages to this method might be. Can this be done when wet jelqing? And at what erection level? Is it safer than the C grip and, if so, why? And finally, does the C grip afford better results than the OK grip?

I apologize if this has already been covered in detail but my feeble attempts at searching these forums haven’t yielded much information. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

For me the OK grip works fine and I don’t see any benefit from using the C grip. I feel like I am able to push more blood towards the glans using the OK grip. I think the gist of using the C grip is that you put more pressure directly on the sides of you penis, where the growth occurs. If you do some poking around here (look at threads about jelqing) you will find a better explanation.

The C grip is pretty much about pushing more on the sides and nothing on the urethra. The chances of injuries are way lower than with the OK grip.

Thought I’d dig up a few links to help you.

How to Jelq

Jelqing & Stretching 101

I’ve been jelqing for more than 6 months. This is what I have learned.

There’s a thread somewhere on this site that speaks in great detail about the difference between the 2 grips. It’s either within the subject of the thread or buried in one of the jelqing links on this site. You may find it in one of the threads I’ve linked above.

Thanks, marinera. How does this compare with the |_| grip? (Sorry, I have no idea how to escape characters in vBulletin.) Is it comparable to the C grip in terms of both safety and effectiveness? It seems that you’re saying that the OK grip is fine if you use common sense and don’t apply too much pressure. Am I inferring correctly?

Thanks also to DoinThisForMe. I reread those postings and they were very helpful. I’m always surprised how much I can miss on first reading.

Tom Hubbard’s ONE THING newbie challenge .

Main thing it does , you stop before you jelq the glans , stopping injury to it from too much pressure .
I use the pinch - pull for all my jelqs now .

Pretty much. The problem with the OK grip is that blood has no place to escape, so the pressure in CS, which should protect the urethra, becomes too high. Every time I see somebody reporting an injury from jelqs was using the OK grip.

This is very helpful information since my routine these days consists almost only of kegels and jelqs. I have not had a good response to stretching so I keep it to a minimum and am considering eliminating it completely. Consequently, I really want jelqs to pay off and I don’t want to risk injury. Although I do a portion of my jelqs with the OK grip, I’m currently doing what probably most resembles a pinch grip along the sides for most of my routine. Is this a reasonable approach?

lil_fella , very reasonable !

Keep using it .
