Do you do all 50 in one shot, or can you break them up into sets?

Also, is it vital you hold them for 5 seconds? Do quick kegels (I.e., not even a second hold) do anything worthwhile? ‘Cause holding them gets to be difficult.

Do kegels whenever you get the time. It will help you out and there the easiest things to do anywhere. So, DO EM EVERYWHERE AND ALL THE TIME!! =]

Also I like to hold them long but also do sets of short kegels. But always test yourself and see how long you can hold for. I can get up over 5 minutes holding a legal. I love the sensation it sends to the grundle! [or taint] Whichever you choose to call it.

Anyone think this is true? Should you just do them all the time, anywhere? It’s not going to have diminishing returns or, worse, any drawbacks?

Do it once a day, all the 50 repititions. When you go to bed, or when you’re in the bus or watching TV.

Try to increase the number of repititions in months: 60->70->100->200…

Wait for 5 seconds, don’t do them quick. You’ll get used to it.


Start: 6.9 BPEL x 4.9 (17,5 x 12,5 cm)

Now: 7.7 BPEL x 5.7 (19,5 x 14,5 cm)

Alright, so I’ll hold them for a minimum of 5 seconds? Is less worth it?

Also, would some sets of 10-15 second kegels be good as well?

Why should they be done all at once?

Is it bad to do them daily, or at any time I can. I mean, if I’m driving, stop at a red light, and already did my amount for the day (50 in my case, since I’m a newbie), can I still go ahead and do, oh I dunno, 10 more or whatever?

You can do the anytime anywhere as stated above. Don’t worry if you can’t do 50reps of 5 secs each. You can do shorter kegels with success and also less than 50 until you are able to do them all. You can also split them up (like 10-20 at a time or how ever many you can do).

In time you will be able to do longer and more kegels.
