On the visual estimation of cock penis size

On the visual estimation of cock penis size

What factors affect the estimation of penis size at a glance (P.S.A.A.G)?
- glans vs shaft: A small head can make a person seem taller in a photograph and vice versa. I propose the same effect exists in penis photography. Many people give little thought to capturing the presence of the dick in dick pictures. But if the glans is used as the reference point for PSAAG, a larger glans can perhaps throw off the observer’s estimate of size, making the penis seem smaller than it is.
- shape of shaft: tend to seem smaller if thicker at the base but thin in the midshaft
- cross-section shape: a penis is not perfectly cylindrical. Take the hypothetical shape of a triangular cross-sectioned penis. I would propose that such a shape would be visually flattering in terms of size (large from above and from the side) while having less volume than a cylindrical penis.
- shaved vs non-shaved (obvious)
- fat pad (obvious)
- angle of erection: downward hanging penises seem to appear larger
- size of hands, thighs, and waist: the first can be addressed by keeping the hands away from the penis, or by using a more flattering grip.

Hypothesis of the characteristics of the most size-photogenic penis (S.P.P)
- smallish glans
- thickest midshaft
- good cross-section shape: triangular or heart-shaped cross-section
- shaved
- no fat-pad
- downward erection
- thin waist and thin legs

Feel free to disagree or chime in with your view!

I don’t know about smallish glans, but everything else you mentioned is *exactly* on point from what I’ve seen. Especially the downward curve erection. I noticed that one because an upward curve is especially bad thing for pics. Straight and curves to the side work well too, they just don’t have the same instant impact (and mental implication) of a downward curve. I saw one comment saying it’s curved down because it’s so heavy (which we know is false but not the point). The thin legs and hips are super important too. The pics that get the most responses about size from women(from what I’ve seen on twitter) ALL have thinner legs and hips. Hell, a shorter form overall is a big plus for pics. A shorter upper body, when seated, can be used as a backdrop to inflate length/girth even more. It can be held up and adjusted to make it seem like the penis’ length reaches the picture taker’s nipples.

Also… don’t forget about the presentation, like actual photography, to maximize visual size. (Not a photographer, so I’m guessing the terms.)

-Posing
Like the downward curve’s effect, the view should show the full length, and not be “looking down the barrel.”

-Perspective
By filling the foreground with penile length, everything behind it (background) automatically looks smaller. This is one of the more common camera “tricks.”

-Contrast / Clarity / Lighting:
Especially while wearing underwear, lighting makes a big difference. When does your junk look bigger, in black underwear or light colored? Light colored, right? Instagram people need good lighting to be able to take high quality photos. I imagine it’s the same for maximizing visual size.

Feel free to correct this or add to it.

I think the relative size of the penis to testicles plays a big role.

Testicles are pretty conserved in terms of size, while hip diameter and height aren’t as much.

Even if scrotum hangs low, the diameter of the scrotum stays about the same.
