Hello everyone, semi-new here, been lurking for about a month and a half, been PEing for about a month. I know there are some people here whop don’t take days off, but I’m really finding out the need to take days off recently. When I started PE, very sceptically, I immediately noticed a change not only in my erection levels, but my size was defiantly bigger, my flaccid hang was way longer and thicker. So I got some base measurements after about 2 weeks of jelqing and manual stretching. I noticed the gains and got very very excited. “Holy shit, this actually works!” was my reaction. I started doing more, more, and more way too fast. Looking back, I noticed the biggest difference in the first two weeks when I actually took days off. From one newbie to all the other newbies, take your rest days!! I know it’s really really hard when you see yourself growing to take those days off. I said to myself “If 5 days a week did this, I wonder what seven will do?” I found out this last week, seven days of PE, very intense jelqing in the morning and very intense manual stretching at night, will give you raw penis skin, red spots on your shaft and head that now make you take 3 days off, and you will loosed your morning wood. I haven’t had morning wood for a few days now. So Monday is my new start. I’m revamping my routine and sticking too it. Maybe I’ll wait until my morning wood comes back and then start again.

Also just a quick thank you to Thunder for making this site, and a thank you to all the senior member and mods for the great information. Looking forward to growing and someday being able to pass down some good advice.

Well, you just did. Rest days are crucial.

What is most crucial is that one is tuned in to what one’s body is telling them.

absintheminded you have responded to your body’s PI’s (Physiological Indicators) on your own. In my mind this is perhaps the most important aspect of PE: it will lead you to your most effective routine.

Yeah , growth takes place during REST.

You can only do so much tissue turnover with your dick , don’t destroy more then you regenerate.

What really got me thinking was your PI article thread Mr. Happy. Thanks a ton for that. I’ve always really tried to listen to my body and be in tune with my senses. I practice opening my Chakras and becoming in tune with my body, and I think that I can roll some of my knowledge there into positive gains in PE.

The PI thread wasn’t mine. I’m not even sure if I’ve posted in it.

But in any event I think it’s wise to pay attention to the subtleties of your body’s response; it will help you to avoid injury and make the most out of your gains.

Glad I read this. I was planning on going every day, straight.

Would it be sensible to go 7 days with the stretches, then only 5on2off with jelqs?


Current: 2/21/07: EL: 4.875" Eg: 4.875" FL: 3.0" Fg: 4"

Short Term Goal: EL: 5.125" EG: 5.125" FL: 3.5 FG: 4.125 ( Baby Steps)

Long Term Goal: EL: 7.00" EG: 5.5" FL 5.5" FG: 4.75"

REST I don’t think is what makes your dick grow. Your dick will grow when you jelq it, thus making the blood cells expand. Saying that rest makes it grow, compares it to a regular muscle, which the dick is not.

What concerns resting days, I guess it’s mostly about feeling if your dick can take it and is still well-functioning.

Honestly, I can’t see why some say you should go for 5 days on and then 1/2 off. This makes no sense to me, so if somebody could give me a reasonable explanation on this please? The same resting time after each workout would make sense though, let it be 4 hours or 1 day. Comments?

First, let me caution you on those red spots you mentioned. Those are burst capilaries. Burst capilaries typically heal in a few days, but they can ultimately be harmful in the long run. In order to avoid bursting your dick capilaries, try jeqling with less intensity and at a lower erection level.

Taking days off isn’t always necessary. I never take days off and I gain roughly 0.5-0.8cm every two months. I wear an ADS for 12-16 hours per day. I drink whey protein after I take off the ADS, which aids in constructing new penile tissue. (I treat PE very similar to how body builders treat gaining muscles.) I think the reason why days off aren’t necessary in my circumstances is because of the whey protein I drink every night; in turn, the new tissues are made over-night with whey instead of being made in two or three days without whey.

Also, PE isn’t something you can rush. Rushing is bad and can cause injury. Try looking at PE as a long-term and steady project, not necessarily as miracle that happens in a month or two.
