PE and Intermittent Fasting

Ive been on this diet for a few weeks now and I have noticed increased EQ. Could be a lot of different things causing it, i would like to hope PE. I feel more energy and libido. Don’t lose my erection during sex anymore and have sex 5-7 times a week. i guess that says a lot when you’ve been with the same person for 15 years and have 3 kids.

Anyway, I didn’t have a chance to google PE and Fasting, but some other benefits of even a 16 hour fasting period and 8 hour window for eating a day can help insulin levels drop and HGH levels increase, it can initiate cellular regeneration also. When our bodies are not busy in a feasting and digesting mode, then can give more energy to other processes. I’m assuming like healing the micro tears we induce ourselves when we do our PE exercises.

Its worth looking into all the benefits of fasting. I have only listed a few.

I am 55 and having insulin issues that are exacerbated by HGH use. I have taken to eating strict keto to control my insulin response. Fasting is a very good method to regulate insulin response.

Cheers

ZX

I personally have had, and continue to have , a positive experience with IF. I have been fasting 23 hours a day (OMAD) for almost a year now. I do pretty intense workouts after a 16 hour fast and then don’t eat for another 7-8 hours.

I am also fat adapted so this make fasting more tolerable.

I have not seen any benefits qualitative or quantitative relating to PE, but maybe there is something.

How lean are you?

I have always been fat. I started keto 6 months ago, but have not lost any weight really. I’m thinking of taking IF seriously.

I am currently leaning up for the summer, but right now I am not ripped or anything.

How many calories are you eating a day? Also, you need to average calories over a week because yes that crazy high calorie meal or day once a week counts.

What is your current dietary fat percentage? What is your protein percentage?

How much do you currently weigh?

If you work out, how many hours a week do you work out and at what intensity level?

In my opinion all of this matters.

I will also add that putting on lean muscle (not bulking) will support long term goals by improving your metabolic rate.

I don’t think Keto or IF alone can negate excess calories being stored as body fat, or at least that’s been my experience.

Intermittent Fasting Help To Gain Size Faster Due To Higher HGH Levels

This is a thread I started here about 4 months ago or so.

I love IF with a passion. Have been doing it for over a year and the benefits are life changing. It’s a lifestyle for me.

Kavemonster, say no more. Look into IF ASAP and thank me later. Keto is not realistic nor long term. Plus, our bodies really do need carbs for a lot of things. If we didn’t our ancestors wouldn’t have thrived off of lentils or oats, for example.

I think I’m around 20ish percent.

I workout almost everyday for about an hour. Between gymnastics. Running. And martial arts. I’m a movement junkie. I roll with the mind crowd of Ido Portal etc etc. I shock ppl when the see how I can move. Like an agile well balance bear.

Weigh 245

I am pretty muscular. The universe gave me 1.5 helping of muscle.

My problem is calories in. I need to sacrifice my love of calories in and I’ve got it.

I’m a foodie, love to cook, run the sous vide just about every day. So I completely understand. As you probably already know, chasing low body fat percentages can be a counterproductive endeavor. Being active, eating whole foods , and maintaining positive energy levels is the primary focus, so it looks like you got it covered!

If you didn’t start eating your calories until halfway into your day, it would be very easy to cut a few hundred calories, without feeling like your cutting yourself short. The key to IF and the hardest part for most, is learning to appreciate the feeling of hunger. Most aren’t used to feeling that way and not fixing it by eating something right away.

But the cool thing about ghrelin (what makes you feel hungry) is with some time you aren’t phased by it and you’ll actually start to like the feeling. You’ll also learn that the feeling of hunger comes in small waves and goes away actually pretty quickly.

It’s funny, while I’m fasting, and I feel the ghrelin release (hunger), I always just tell myself things like, yep, your body is in cleansing mode, your cells are regenerating, HGH is rising and insulin sensitivity is going up, and then I feel happy lol

My energy is through the roof, I sleep like a baby every night, my goals in the gym are constantly going up because of strength increase, and my mind is sharp. This also comes with a clean, high nutritious diet, of course.

I just got back from a vacation in Hawaii, so I took a break from my normal diet, and after eating out at restaurants and then the last day before leaving actually having Burger King (a huge no no for me), I literally woke up with a hang over. That right there said so much to me about how bad the shit is that people eat on the daily. Crazy.

In addition to fasting everything you have mentioned is why my diet continues to be predominately such that I am producing BHB. I experience the same condition while I’m eating and after I have eaten as when I am in a fasted state. No peaks and valleys in energy, no hunger issues throughout the day and I have the gift of metabolic flexibility. Definitely notice greater mental clarity too.

Hey littleengine, you ever read some of Ori Hofmeklers stuff? You seem to be doing what he calls the warrior diet. He’s a pretty smart man and has helped me a lot with my information upon this subject.

Congrats to you by the way for staying in a ketosis state combined with fasting daily. Your optimal man, no wonder you feel like superman.

I have never read anything by Ori Hofmekler. I will check him out. I use to put mct in my coffee in the mornings on the weekends, but I gave that up as I just got so conditioned to fasting until the end of the day. Also, I literally felt like I had just finished a speed ball as my body would quickly metabolize the mct, which I didn’t need any more energy than I already had.

All I know is that reducing sugars in my diet and only eating once a day feels dam good for me.

Shit, I did HIIT for 40 minutes at 5:30 this morning fasted, haven’t eaten yet and I feel great. I crushed the workout, no sugars needed. I won’t eat until 6 tonight.

Key for me has been making sure I keep my electrolytes up and all else is well!

I love it.

Oh man you got to check this book out, it’s a good one I promise. Will suit you well. “The warrior diet”. Has a lot of great information.

I plan to message you, I have a few good questions regarding your diet and routine. You seem to know a few things no doubt.

Anywho, look into that book! Promise you won’t be unsatisfied.
