I doubt that diet/food is going to give a 41 year old the hormone levels of a teenager. Unless, the 41 year old is severely obese and type 2 diabetic. Maybe. If it was possible to modulate your hormone levels with food, then people wouldn’t need hormone replacment therapy.
None of those supplements touted to “raise testosterone” really work. Oftentimes, they are tainted with illegal substances. And if they did work, it’s a dangerous game as the body tries to reach homeostasis, other hormones are affected.
Diet can affect boners, as others have mentioned. I get really good sleep boners when I eat alot veggies, especially raw red onion for some reason. For me it’s not a vegetarian diet that does it, it’s including vegetables at dinner.
I read that citrulline/arginine loses effectiveness for older people, which i can vouch for. It worked great when I was young, now not so noticeable. Eat alot of nitrates for older people. Nitrates and nitrites are converted to nitric oxide by bacteria in the mouth and digestive system. If you are a big mouthwash user, you destroyed this pathway by killing all the good bacteria in your mouth.
Remember, the penis is not a muscle like your bicep. It’s mainly made of smooth muscle and a vascular bed, so difficult to “grow”.
