PE with the least amount of injuries?
It is possible to be over enthusiastic with any kind of PE which leads to injury. With pumping, the main cause for injury is using too much pressure. That is why it is so important to buy a pump with a pressure gauge. When you first start, you should only use a pressure of 3inhg, or 3 inches of mercury and only pump for 5 to 10 minutes to slowly condition yourself to the process. Even when fully conditioned you can still get excellent results from sticking to pressures no higher then 5inhg and slowly increasing your total time in the cylinder up to 30 minutes.
The pressure gauges on these pumps go up to 30inhg and if you pump without a gauge, it is very easy to unknowingly start off pumping at say 10inhg or more and cause all sorts of injuries like red spots from broken capillaries.
