Quick question about cool down

Quick question about cool down

Hello TP. I just have question about cool down, and that is, should I be hard when doing the cool down? I would assume so but would be nice to be 100% sure. I have searched the forums but can’t find the answer, or it might just be me not looking hard enough. Anyway.. Hope someone has an answer for me. Thanks!

Your erection level shouldn’t make any difference. If you’re cooling down after jelqing, you shouldn’t be hard anyway.

Alright, thanks. Wrapping some ice and putting it on is a good way to cool down as well, I guess? I read something about it in a previous thread.

I believe you gotta cool down at the maximum size possible, after a session and with a good temporary expansion.

The theory behind this is to “solidify” the collagen.

Be careful, depending on the temperature, you should not let your penis on it for more than 2 minutes.

I read the “Cool down, YES you need it” thread (something like that). It states that one should be in an extended state while cooling down, but when you remove it, should you try and be extended (hard I guess you could say as well) till you reach body temp or is it fine getting soft on its own terms? May have formulated that weird, hope you understand. Thanks for the answers.

That’s a great idea for using ice cubes in your bathmate like you would in a bong. Thats the only way I can imagine would keep you expanded/cool long enough to be worthwhile. I like to just stay warm all the time because it keeps the collagen stretched and for when the cells divide well they end up making a expanded copy of itself. I think dipping your balls in icy water also creates testosterone which is always welcome

Only testing it out to be sure. Also, I believe constant heat is a must here, because collagen changes his form to a gel-like while under heat, making the cool down afterward way more susceptible to work.

Good luck.

Do you think heat should be applied before the cold when I do my cool down? Maybe use a rice sock for a minute or two and then 2-3 minutes of cold for the cool down?

Training under heat could easily lead to a better expansion, because the collagen is way more “malleable” under higher temperatures (penis is >90% made of collagen). After the session, penis should be way bigger and hotter, perfect to be “shocked” by a source of lower temperature.

Note that ambience temperature, at this situation, is considered an “natural cool down”. So, if you use constant heat, you are already doing the cool down approach. Now, if you want to to step up and use a cold wrap, make sure to not pass the 2 minutes mark with the cold wrap at your penis.

Basics apply here too: don’t burn yourself with hotter temperatures or permanent damage your nerves with freezing temperatures.

Good luck.

I was under the impression that heat always trumps cold in PE. Isn’t the penis notorious for shriveling and turtle in the cold, and hang at its fullest in heat? I just try to keep as much heat as possible from the IR lamp and warm-up after sessions, even using a heat pad in my underwear during the rest of the day.

Maybe this idea is related to the trend in sports where athletes bathe in ice cold water after training? I’ve read that turned out to decrease muscle gains in terms of size and strength, which also points to that heat might be better in PE I guess.

Cool down should last no more than 2 minutes, not enough time to stimulate a considerable turtling effect.

Along with the idea of “solidifying” the expanded collagen, lower temperatures could also help by diminishing the edema.

Okay, sounds a bit sketchy but then what in PE doesn’t until you tried it :)
I guess if you notice edema and want to reduce it this could be something to try.
