Hello everyone. I used a traction device for a few weeks about a decade ago, and just started using it again (4-6 hours daily) with the odd manual stretch. I have been extremely paranoid about any sort of injury, and hence why I’ve stuck to just traction and stretching. In addition, I have a curve that I’m trying to get rid of as well (30 degrees or so). I am worried that any sort of jelqing or manual volume exercise would possibly make it worse. My plan was this:

Use the traction device for 3-6 months so that I can gain to 6.5-6.6 BPEL (currently 6.1-6.2 BPEL), and hopefully improve most of my curve. Then, I want to add a light daily pumping routine as well, specifically to improve the curve (I’m aware there are specific routines that can decrease curvature). Then, I want to switch to a normal pumping routine. I know that using a pump is much less effective than jelqing or clamping, but I’m going for safety over anything else. Would you guys agree that this is essentially the safest way to approach it? Is pumping even safer than jelqing? Sorry for all the questions!

My girth is around 4.8-4.9 right now. Ideally, within a couple of years I’d like to be 7.5x5.5+ (any more is a bonus, but I’m trying to be realistic).

Stretching and jelqing I would vote for.

Extenders, if not set correctly, the person will clamp most of the blood outflow from the glans. If this problem is left unattended, permanent damage could happen.

Pumping is ok if the person watches the pressure and duration, but its still dependant on a combination with other exercises. Gains from solo pumping is unlikely to happen without the presence of manuals along with.

If your hardness ain’t maxed out, once you do, you may identify your truly curvature. Just anticipating this because when you improve your EQ, the real curvature will show up.

You can’t tell me you gained 2x1 from just pumping though.. But am I correct that if done at a low pressure, it would be the safest way to gain volume? I’m very careful with the extender and haven’t had any issues yet; I do checks x20 minutes to play it safe, but thanks for the heads up.

What do you mean it’s dependent on a combo with other exercises? Is it not effective for girth by itself? What about after using a traction device for a few hours?

I know my EQ has improved recently, and seems comparable to when I was 16.

I think pumping has to be combined with other exercise to work properly for long lasting gains. An example of this could be stretching, jelqing and pumping.

Okay, that seems reasonable. But with the order that I presented, if I added jelqing say 3-6 months after pumping, am I minimizing any possible chance of injury?

I figured having a longer and straighter penis will decrease any jelqing injuries, and furthermore will “toughen” it up a little. Also, I presumed that after pumping for a few months, it will have a similar impact as a very soft jelqing, to condition myself for when I’m ready. Keep in mind, I am more than willing to sacrafice gains to keep my injury chance as close to zero as humanely possible. If that makes sense.

Best if the other way around: you jelq for 3-6 months then start thinking about implement the pump.

Injury could happen if you skip warm up or use intensity and/or duration beyond your penis capabilities.

With time and experience you will be able to know how much intensity and duration to apply.

What’s the rationale for that? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just want to be sure. Whenever I do research on injuries, it’s almost always jelqing or clamping it seems. And the brutal irreversible permanent ED injuries that I have read up on come exclusively from jelqing. In short, I have an intense fear of it.

We could have a serious problem if the jelq are being performed with top erection. Actually gotta be very careful to do any kind of manual exercise while fully erect. This shouldn’t happen with clamping and pumping because the recommendation is to not bend/twist/jelq/etc the penis while doing them.

If you want to be extra careful, make sure to warm up for at least 10 minutes and start on linear newbie routine (without stretching), which is lighter than the classic newbie routine.

I will follow that advice. Is the key to jelq closer to 40-50% erect instead of 60-70%? I need to watch more videos to make sure I’m understanding these percents correctly. I would imagine we’re talking the window where your penis has almost reached erect length, but is still reasonably soft, and certainly not hard enough for intercourse?

Also, what about the curving issue? Am I more at risk for injury for jelqing with a curve, or making the curve more extreme?

I don’t think so. Most of us have some kind of curvatures and we’re doing fine.
