Shockwave DIY

I read these posts. Now, i…I have to do this. It could be a serious game changer for me.

Now: 9" BPEL x 6.25" MSEG as of 11/10/2019 This is my story, a few progress pics of me here, and all my methods.

Then: 6.25" x 4.37" in 8/2009 Are you new to PE? Here's some advice I wish someone had given me when I first started.

Just out of curiosity, T, you seem to be in a pretty good zone as far as permanent gains. What specifically draws you towards this? Is it the potential EQ benefit or the potential for more gains?

I’ve been doing treatments on myself every two days. I was still doing the aggressive treatment at .38mJ/mm2, with a total of 6000 pulses at treatment 13. This may have been overkill so the last 2 treatments have been at .09, but still 6000 pulses. What I have noticed lately is morning wood quite often. .

Hey dlp,
Looking over some studies on shockwave therapy, I’m seeing suggestions repeatedly saying that "EFD>0.28 mJ/mm2 would cause damage to tissue, including fibrosis, inflammation, and necrosis, and that EFD<0.08 mJ/mm2 might be safe."

My suspicion, although my experience with this is next to nil, is that positive results with this treatment will follow something like a bell curve, with higher EFD (energy flux density, which I’m interpreting as the energy output setting) yielding potential fibrosis and undesirable damage. Has this been your experience? Like most of the practices on this site, I suspect it will fit into the "less is more" paradigm.

Further commentary from an alternate study:
"Energy flux density, number of shock waves per treatment, and duration of LI-ESWT treatment were closely related to clinical outcome, especially regarding IIEF improvement."

Wish we had some more clear data about what the sweet spot is for all these parameters.

Greetings Dicklimppen, I found your thread and blog quite interesting. Thank you for sharing, I´m looking forward to see more updates.

Results after 7 months of shockwave therapy

I’ve been doing shockwave therapy on myself for 7 months now. Due to traveling and machine breakdowns it hasn’t been constant; I’ve had some intervals of a few weeks without. What I’m sensing now is that it feels like I reached a point where shockwave therapy has done all that it can for me. I feel no more progress. My plan now is to do some rounds of maintenance therapy every few months.

So the big question is what has improved with my therapy in the past half year? It’s important to put the results into perspective, because the cause of my ED is a venous leak, which shockwave treatments have not cured. However, the bloodflow issue is much improved. I feel that even though the leak that drains the blood out is still there, there is a lot more blood going in now, so the quality of my erections has improved.

Before: infrequent morning erections
Now: almost daily morning wood
Before: no spontaneous erections
Now: a few weak spontaneous erections
Before: no erections even with stimulation
Now: sometimes erections will occur with stimulation
Before: Viagra did nothing
Now: Viagra helps more. By itself isn’t good enough for sex but for oral it is
Before: Even 7ml of trimix wasn’t enough for sex
Now: 2ml usually works
Before: weak erections
Now: strong erections

Was it worth it? Yes.

Happy to hear about your results man. Congrats.

Personally i had 12 gains wave treatment and it helped a bit with bloodflow but cutting porn was way more effective and i wasnt even checking it each day.

Please read through the thread as he identifies the unit he purchased. I have the same unit as his. It comes with ultrasound gel but almost any lube will work as it is needed as a friction reducer for sliding the wand across the penis, not for transferring energy. I now primarily use coconut oil for lube.

Where did you see a reference about an eswt ultrasound machine exploding? I’ve never heard anything like that. I’ve had mine for over a year, have had no issues and have used it for over 50 treatments with well over 250,000 pulses.

I read in Dick’s blog that he had a mechanical issue with his but customer service sent him a replacement part and it was repaired.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7.75” BPEL; 7.25” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

This is an interesting thread. I wonder: could a shockwave machine help with PE? Instead of targeting the CC and Cura, could it be used on the the ligaments and the septum (some call it dorsal thickening)? If the shockwave machine could soften these up, it would make gains easier to reach.

Live long and prosper.

Now that shockwave machines are affordable everyone wants one. I can’t say it helps with penis gains but it has helped with my ED.

hmm… the SW6 machine that dicklimppen bought seems to be going for around $1100 + $300 shipping on alibaba. That isn’t affordable for a lot of people.

It costs the same as two or three gainswave treatments which is how I justified it. I have over 50 treatments with it so it has paid for itself 15 times or so.

But to your point for the average guy who isnt choosing between giving his hard earned $ to the clinic for a treatment or buying it and treating themselves, it is a hefty price. Will eliminate many guys who want to test the concept of will it help in their PE efforts.

It definitely is a good tool in my perpetual war against ED.

Will an eswt machine help with PE efforts? I do not have that answer.

I developed a severe case of ED and my doctor recommended gainswave treatments and pumping. Around 3 months later I realized I had grown about an inch over my previous length. Maybe total growth of 1.5” considering my poor EQ resulted in 1/2” loss.

So was the gainswave responsible for my 1” increase in length? Was pumping? Both? 70-30 split? I dont know.

When I told my doctor I had gained an inch he responded that girth gains are more common after gainswave. We did not discuss if those were true gains or just from EQ improvement.

Ernie I have recently bought a cheap Chinese shockwave machine, a Ginha, similar to Dicklimppen’s second machine after reading his blog. I have moderate ED and believe this should help. My ED is age related and I found PE generally has helped, especially dynamic pumping using Mr Fantastic pumps. I gather Dick’s Gainwave Doc has got him doing a sort of basic dynamic pumping to augment Shockwave.

Now to address your question based on the info in Dick’s excellent Blog site it appears the Shockwave theory is that it improves blood flow by removing plaque and growing extra micro vessels presumably in the CCs and the Crura. I believe the Crura are like an extension of the CCs in the inner penis (that bit inside the body). There is no suggestion it softens up ligaments and I suspect it might do the opposite and toughen them up so I am loath to use shockwave on the dorsal area or the ligaments in the fatpad area. Also not sure it is a good idea to use it on the glans because of the risk of numbing from possible nerve damage even though there are a lot of blood vessels in the glans. The Gainswave pro videos seem to back this up with only the CCs and Crura targeted.

Never the less the pros claim shockwave helps cure Peyronies curvature so growing blood vessels must be able to give you a somewhat bigger and fatter unit as well as a healthier one.

I have no medical training so take the above as speculation.
