Stretching

Stretching

I am a beginner and I have a question regarding stretching:

There is a newbie routine of 5 mins - should be 10 stretches, each of 30 seconds.

I have read about stretching and there are manual stretches, which I should do in several directions (up, down, right, left, circle). So how is it? One stretch should be performed in one of these directions for 30 seconds? Means, that I will make 2 stretches in each of these directions?

Should I also perform the kegel with it?

Should I stand by that exercise?

Thank you for you help

Dan

That is what I do. I make the rounds twice: up, down. Right, left. Occasionally, I will do one regular set like that and then I will do diagonal stretches: down to the right, down to the left, up to the right, up to the left, straight out. I think you get the idea.

Some of the stretches I like the best are called “cranks”. The idea here is to get a good grip (with a piece of toilet paper) and pull straight out for a few seconds. Once you can feel a good stretch in the ligs then crank your member like you are mixing a bowl of cake batter. I do this kinda slowly and get 30 full revolutions before I let go and rest. One set of cranks takes me about 60 seconds. Keep an eye on your glans though, you can get red spots if you squeeze to hard.

By far the best stretch for me, however, is when I twist my flaccid one full turn (so when you look down at your glans it is facing the proper direction but the shaft has one full twist in it). Since you are new, I would not pull very hard with this one yet. Overdoing it is a SURE way to injure yourself! These twisted stretches have a name already, I am sure, but they do a great job of straining the whole penis. I like them a lot.

I must say that warming up is important. You did not mention it, but I must warn you. I started PE thinking that warm-up was an extra step I could eliminate. After weeks with no gains and plenty on red spots, I finally came around.

Do what ever you can to make sure your effort is not wasted. Otherwise you are wasting your time as well.

Hope this helps.

Yes, since I’m assuming you’re just starting out, start at 10 reps. Also, as far your second question goes, it means that you should hold the stretch for 30 seconds PER rep.. It’s kind of like your “rotating”, so if you’re doing stretches going ‘up’, ‘down’, ‘right’, ‘left’, and ‘in a circle’ you would hold the ‘up’ stretch for 30 seconds, then your next direction for 30 seconds, the next direction for 30 seconds, the next direction for 30 seconds, and when you get to the ‘in a circle’ I’m assuming you’re trying to count this as a direction, so just keep stretching ‘in a circle’ for 30 seconds… then repeat the process until you’ve reached your amount of reps you should be at (in your case at this point in time, 10 reps).

No dedication + No self-discipline = No Gains. This goes for working out as well. It\'s elementary math kids.

Starting Date: 1-17-05 - EL: 6 in. EG: 5.125 in. ... or 5 2/16 in. ..FL: 4.5 in. ... or 4 8/16 in. FG: 4.5 in. ... or 4 8/16 in.

14th Check-In Date (much 'rest time' so far): 10-01-06 - EL: 7 1/16 in. EG: 5 9/16 in. ................ FL: 5.00 in. ... or 5 in. FG: 4.75 in. ... or 4 12/16 in....1st Goal: EL: 7 in. EG: 5.75 in ... or 5 12/16 in.

Thank you for your help, sure I will do the warm up. Anyhow, from your answer I did not understood for how long time I should make the stretch. Is it 30 seconds for each direction?

Now it’s clear.

Thanks

Hey GoOnBaby, I like when people think outside the box.

I twist when I stretch too. Started it 5 years ago but didn’t do it regularly. That’s probably why my girth is greater than my length. I didn’t mention it before, because it’s a seriously advanced move, you have to know your body quite well and I didn’t want to make it seem like it’s okay for newbies to jump right into.

Beginner 12717, I recommend getting MINIMUM six weeks PE before twisting. And even when you do, twist only halfway while stretching gently. The first 3 or 4 times shouldn’t even tingle, just feel warm. Then increase your twist slowly until you get one full twist.

Success to all,

Rufstuf

That’s right Rufstuf, I probably shouldn’t even be doing it myself.

I think the most important thing for Beginner12717 to remember is that his PE routine is HIS routine. The newbie routine is great and most guys can experience gains by performing it exactly as written. However, they do not all get exactly the same gains, and each is physiologically different than everybody else on this entire board!

If you are concerned about how long to perform these exercises because they are hurting you, than you need to be following the biofeedback and not the letter of the law. Although, the opposite can also be true. If you feel comfortable doing longer sets or increasing the frequency of your sessions, I would suggest that you experiment a little. Always remember the rest days. Your body grows as it heals.

Just pay attention to the details and you should be fine.
