I have a relatively smaller glans so when I was using a static stretcher it would often slip off. Or, if I strapped in tighter, my glans would get cold and numb. In either case 1 - 1.5 hours seemed to be the max I could keep it on before it became too uncomfortable to continue. If you have a relatively large glans, you may not encounter these issues.
I subsequently switched to a VacExtender (V-3) which was much more comfortable. However, it is important to mount it properly - glans snugly pushed into the cap which also needs to be “vented” property - all air removed to generate a tight vacuum seal. If these steps are not properly executed, you subject your glans to bruising and even blisters if left on too long.
If properly mounted, the VacExtender is my preferred device. The static extender would probably be a safer way to begin extending, especially if you have a relatively large head.
The VacExtender cap can also be used for light hanging by attaching weigh(s). I use a 2lb fishing weight.
