Veggie pe

Veggie pe

I was wondering recently if anyone of us fine men here follow a diet almost exclusively based on fruits and vegetables. Do you feel healthier and mentally more better? I am contemplating a week of following strict vegetarianism.(cept for milk and eggs maybe) Now this isn’t an easy task at all for me. I skip breakfast(faux pas I know) have brunch on school days and early dinner in the evenings and sometimes quite a hearty supper. On other days have lunch, late dinner and supper. Now we don’t eat exquisitely at our house. Mother whips out a humble meal with a few dishes. So this vegetarian diet feels promising but being the meat man that I am, I have meat literally 7 days per week. I love chicken and other fowl (call me a chickenator) and mutton then fish and other seafood sometimes. I eat beef on somedays with friends when we’re out or I use that as an excuse to eat out. Mother doesn’t fancy beef or pork so she seldom cooks them. And I don’t like pork at all cept when it’s in ham and bacon. Right so anyone ever tried being vegetarian and has it improved your pe? On a side note has it improved other things like your ability to concentrate and your stamina?

Lol no one has ever observed a difference in their pe after changing diet?

It’s been an hour and 15 minutes, give it some time! :p

Kay, sure will. (:

I doubt it would have an effect on PE. That being said- stop skipping breakfast and if you are going to go Vegetarian for a week why not go whole hog, pun intended, and eat nothing but veggies, preferably organic, and do some research so you get a good variety that will clean out your system- including colon, kidneys, liver, etc and turn it into a bit of a detox week. If you must have Eggs and Dairy skip the milk and have yogurt with live culture and if you decide you must have meat stick with fish or poultry.

PS- if you are wondering I am not a vegetarian- I love meat and eat it daily with the majority being fish and fowl.

I was a vegetarian for nearly 12 years and started PE as a veggie. These last couple of months I since have added meat and fish back into my diet and noticed a change for the better. I don’t eat meat at every meal nor even 7 days a week but a fair amount to maintain my training and PE. I do a pretty intense training schedule, I work 2 jobs and I PE. The energy requirements are thus very high and I found myself eating almost 6 meals a day as a vegetarian to keep up the levels needed. As a disclaimer I must state that I am anemic and have been since I was born.

Being a vegetarian was tough at first but eventually I got used to it. I noticed a dip in body weight (I am slim to begin with) and I felt more passive; or rather, I feel less passive now that I eat more meat. As for being more concentrated or not, I don’t know. I know the stamina thing is bupkiss. I felt weaker. Now other veggies get annoyed when someone says that there a lack in stamina and strength when one only eats veg. Yes, there are people who wax on about the health benefits of vegetarianism. That’s cool that it works for them that way. Yes, I know there are even body builders who are vegan. However, today I feel stronger, more relaxed, and hornier due to the reintrodution of meat and fish in my diet.

The worst thing about vegetarianism is the over-reliance on soy products. Now there is soy in alot of everyday products that people don’t even realize but vegetarians tend to use soy as a protein supplement. There is nothing wrong with a bit of soy (I personally love the sichuanese dish ma po doufou) but too much can mimic estrogen in the body. There are vegetarians that go soy-free and that’s cool.

My theory is that fruits and veg are essential to one’s diet. Relying solely on meat and starchy foods (the proverbial meat and potatoes) will make one feel sluggish and basically like crap. Varied energy sources is key for health. I also think age has something to do with it. I am pretty young (mid-20s) and I think the older one gets, the less likely they are to take meat. My grandfather practically eats meat once or twice a week and I have noticed my parents eating less red meat and chicken and taking more vegetables when I visit them.

My suggestion is to first just eat more veg dishes and decrease meat intake, see how it is. If you feel great, do more. If you start getting weaker, add more meat back in. Find that optimal balance. People are veggies for different reasons: social, moral, religious, and the final one is health. If you only fall into the last category (like I did) then start by simply adding more veg and fruit into your diet before you take a giant plunge into vegetarianism.

One difference I can point to quickly is ejaculation. While a vegetarian I found that my cum was thinner and reportedly tasted ‘better’ (according to the girlfriend). Now that I eat meat I find my cum thicker, and to get that ‘good’ taste I need to eat lots more fruit (which is fine since I can eat fruit all day).

Anyway, hope that helps. Let us know how you do with it.

Cum vinum intrat, exit sapientia

Thanks for the input stubby. I don’t fancy yoghurt. Yep looks like I gotta go some marketing with mother to choose the veggies. Perhaps could negotiate the meals. Yep my main reason to go for an absolute rabbit food week. Is to detox my mind and body of all the meat and some unhealthy junk foods. I am also seeing if it is helping with one ailment I’m having. But it’s mostly for pe. Seeing if it helps improve blood circulation and if the body is happy then it might bring me good gains. Also during this week I’m trying to sleep well and follow a strict schedule. Just pray I don’t turn into a hippie, LOL! (:

Thanks alot for the reply acer1683! That was a helpful post bro. So having meat in your diet is better than being a pure vegan? Alright then. Sorry to know that you are anemic. Right now I’m abit tired so my head isn’t inputting much and I don’t know what to say. Just one message out there to guys soy based products = bad, bad BAD!. I know some Buddhist Chinese and Hindus are vegetarian and eat mock meat soy based foods but do refrain from them. I’ll do some research and dig some info and do thread listing foods that inhibit testosterone levels later.

Acer— good points all- particularly the meat/ passivity connection.

Personally I’ve found that starches in general tend to make one sluggish and bound up— big cats and dogs [wolves, jackals, hyenas] in the wild tend to live well off flesh and greens and as I’ve gotten older I find that straying too far from that will tend to weigh me down body mind and soul.

EG- good point on the soy- I’d only add that it’s even more important to clean out from junk than meat.
And by the time you are an adult dairy maybe should not be the mainstay of anyone’s diet.
Also consider trying to consume as much of your vegetable matter as possible in a raw state.

As with any radical change in diet you will likely feel a bit off for the first 2-3 days- headaches, lethargy, possibly nausea— all symptoms of your system cleaning out.

If you really want to raise the stakes, try a modified [juice] or even a full fast- 5 days without any solids will clean you out, particularly if you do colonics as well.

Evergrowing:

Let us know how this works out for you. I can see from your subsequent post regarding soy that you already know that your diet does not automatically become healthy just by excluding meat.

Here’s an interesting article about soy in the diet: Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America’s Favorite Health Food .

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Great find Lampwick- a single well researched and cited article that concisely explains all the issues with soy as well as it’s history.

I will be forwarding that link to many insistent vegan friends.

I’m not a big fan of soy so being a veggie is out for me, but I did switch to eating all whole grains and organic when I can and it as helped me feel better. Soy is in everything so I can’t get away from it without a drastic life change and I would have to spend huge money to avoid it. The best thing is limit red meat eat whole grains and plenty of fruit and get a really ative life style with sports like basketball and biking and hit the gym.

There are many ways to eat. I don’t think they are going to help anyone get gains, except by virtue of keeping you alive while you go about gaining. :)

A strict vegetarian diet can be very healthy with a few provisos.

You need to make sure you get all the basic vitamins and minerals. I believe B6 is especially important for vegan vegetarians to prevent anemia. Any half-way decent multivitamin will cover this.

Getting enough protein is also key, particularly if you have an active lifestyle (which is also sort of good for health :leftie: ). There are other protein sources than just soy; one can eat a variety of beans, whey protein - one of the easiest proteins to absorb, is vegetable, and of course nuts and seeds: almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, etc.

What is tricky is making sure you eat enough variety to help you synthesize all the various amino-acids. Any whey-based body building formula should be enough to cover this.

If you’re not strictly vegan, dairy can also be a protein source. Cottage cheese, for example is a great low-fat protein source - yogurt actually has got a higher carb-to-protein ratio than cottage cheese, I think of it as a carb.

What else?

Oh yeah. The issue of soy and testosterone. It’s mixed. On the plus side soy has isoflavones that are thought to help the body inhibit prostate and other cancers. So soy is not BAD BAD BAD end of story, but in large amounts as the sole staple for a man’s protein source I’d agree it’s not ideal.

A varied diet will help keep the ill effects of soy at bay if soy is included in a man’s diet. But one has many protein options if one wants to be vegetarian: you could easily avoid soy altogether.

Split pea soup for example. Peas have higher protein than lentils. :)

I like andro’s predatory diet. I understand he was raised by wolves. Meat and greens with few starches.

I like it!
