So here is some reading on soy.

People have some very alarmist ideas about soy on this forum.

Men can eat soy. If they eat large quantities of it, and no other sorts of protein, yes, problems can develop. But there really is no need for anyone to ‘eliminate soy’ just because.

It’s a little silly.

Both your links turn up dead for me, by the way.

God gave men both a penis and a brain, but unfortunately not enough blood supply to run both at the same time. - Robin Williams (:

Hard to describe, I’ve always heard that the body starts to change at thirty; the mind matures; you enter a plateau of equilibrium that lasts, hopefully, until some time in the late fifties or early sixties. Having pasted the magical thirty, I can say there is definitely something to it. To skeptics, let’s just say you go to sleep in one state of mind and wake us with quite another, and it doesn’t go back.

Men over thirty are highly recommended to avoid masturbation altogether in Daoist tradition, citing a waste of energy. Going at it four or five times a week? I wonder how your body ever had time to recuperate. Mine takes a full day or 36 hours; that’s why I generally avoid ejaculation except for maybe once a week, which is easier said than done when your girlfriend likes to have sex two or three times a day.

My meager, unoriginal recommendation: lay off masturbation completely and change something drastic about your life, sounds like stress to me. Our bodies age and usually for the worse. But there is some comfort, there’s always someone older to poke fun at. Fly to Asia and revel in the girls, whatever, just a change of scenery may be all you need.

A good thread with lots of interesting points. One question I wish to ask, with poor EQ and lack of sex drive, reduced erections is it usual to have poor clarity of thought? I ask this from personal experience.

P.s is there somewhere I can save these threads, so that I can read up on them again. If there is I can’t find the option. Thanks.

Just found thread tools add to favourites. Thanks.

Great question.

If one has those symptoms and poor clarity of thought, to me that indicates stress, lack of sleep and the like.

I wouldn’t run to test my testosterone. I’d think about getting a few more naps in, and maybe laying off the masturbation and/or sex a bit and see how I feel in a week.

I would continue to eat the occasional soy product.

Yes, but if he is hypothyroid/hypogonadal then soy is not going to help. Whether hype or real if there is a reason for alarm, if soy does do these things or not. Then one should be advise to execise caution, not to triffle with ones hormonal cycle until it is dis proven that soy does not cause these issues.

However I have a couple more possible reasons for this.

Thanks for the advice Mr Happy, I will try it and see what happens.

Have you considered if you get any xeno estrogens through diet, fabric softener, soap, food/water in dodgy plastic containers, etc..?

I don’t eat soy except for occational asian food soy sauce, but I can’t believe the big focus on soy when people are already getting much more potent artificial estrogens through their skin/diet.

And you don’t have to be on a sexual peak all the time.. Everybody has ups and downs. How long has it been since you’ve had a vacation?
