What type of infrared bulb?

I’m going to give PE another go, and I wanted to try an infrared light this time for heat. After doing some research I’ve seem to confused myself a little. There are two types of infrared, near and far. Based off what I read it seems far infrared penetrates deeper and would be the one I would want. My problem is none of the boxes seem to have any information about the bulb being near or far infrared. I’m curious about the bulbs you guys use. Do you know if they’re near or far or did you just get an infrared bulb and made sure it was a certain wattage. I hear 250 watts is what should be used.

I think that Firegoat said that 150w is optimal, i have to agree since i also have a 150w infrared bulb. Great for warming up!

150 watt is about ideal. A higher wattage means you have to be further from it, and it ends up heating your belly as well, which means lots of blood gets heated, which then circulates around your body. If you are using it for long enough, you can actually get heat stroke and start to feel slightly faint and ill!

I wouldn’t worry too much about near or far IR - all IR penetrates well enough for our needs, and our sole need is to heat up the tissues to make the collagen more malleable - your penis won’t know if you are using IR, a rice sock, a hot wash cloth, a gel pad etc. - they all work as long the tissues are getting warmed through. IR is just nice and instant, with no messing about.

Ok cool. I’m going to head out today and get me a 150 watt bulb and give it another shot.

Just don’t multi task like someone a little while back who got a nasty burn lol
