I’m on a 1on - 1off schedule at the moment doing the Linear Newbie routine by J123. I don’t think I need more than that at the moment, mostly because I don’t want to condition my dick really quickly. Everyone has the urge to go mad on their dick once they start but thing is, that is the biggest mistake you can do both because you could get injured but also because you might get conditioned quickly and therefore not see gains. There are many threads discussing this if you dig just a little bit you’ll have plenty of discussions to read. Some say more is more and some less is more. If you just started out I would highly recommend the linear newbie routine following the on and off schedule provided. I plan on doing another week of 1on - 1off and then when going into stretches (following the Linear Newbie will start to do stretches on the second week) do a 2on - 1off. Anyway good luck to you dude and stay safe. :D

Also here is what thoughtfulgold (a legend in my opinion) said about rest days. This is from a thread called ”Advice I wish someone had given me when I first started”.

A: Rest is important because injury can result with too much training. Whether that’s lifting too much weight with your arms and shoulders, or tugging too hard or too many times on your penis when you perform your routine. You take days off to avoid aches, pains and dysfunction. Dysfunction like loss of morning wood primarily but anything that is outside of the norm in a bad way. An achy penis is not what you want so you do want to rest and regularly.
