Top. Measuring on the sides would give you a bigger measurement I guess.

Top. The only difference between the two is that NBP has no fat-pad compression and BP has fat pad compression. From the side and from the bottom will make your measurement longer. Hell from the bottom I pick up a whole inch without PE! Technically, for PE purposes, as long as you measure the exact same way each time is the most important thing. That said, I can get far more variability in length measurements from the side and bottom than from along the top.

from the top, I use the same method of bpel measurement, the only difference is that in the nbpel the ruler don’t press into the pubic bon.
