From my reading (all the clamping threads I can find), it seems that most everyone does about 3 sets of whatever routine they do.

Clamping sets seem to be 10 minutes in length for most people.

I’m hanging, pumping, and clamping. Mostly one set each day, sometimes two or three. Days off when needed. Pumping will likely be done less unless that’s a bad idea.

Now about the clamping. I was only able to do it post-pump with my wife’s assistance for two reasons. 1>I was too small for the clamp. And 2>I couldn’t get an erection without my wife’s assistance. Remember, I got into this by accident while treating impotence.

Well, now I’m able to have spontaneous erections again sometimes, and can more often have them when I want them on my own. So now I can clamp even when she’s not here to help out.

I seem to be gaining length rather easily but girth is very slow to come. I’ve only picked up about 1/4” EG since starting, and just barely that. Probably because of the erection difficulties. Soft jelqing is pretty much useless it seems and pumping and clamping a soft penis doesn’t do much good either.

Now that I can get it up again much more often, I may be able to make some gains. In the clamp, I’m bigger than ever and she absolutely loves the clamped foreplay from the description in the thread about the “big O”. We start out that way then pop the clamp off after my 10 minutes are up, leave the silicone cock ring in place to keep the girth and have some fun. If we have too much fun, it’s possible that I end up wasting a clamping session.

2> How many times a day can I safely clamp? If I do it too much and actually get thicker, is this going to slow down or stop my length gains?

Not that it matters too much because I don’t want too much more than another 1/2 inch in length anyway. Sure, I’d like to get close to the legend if possible, but not so close that I can’t have sex balls deep. I wouldn’t want to be one of those guys who’s only doing it with half of his dick. So it’s probably time to start some serious, frequent clamping because we both want the girth more than the length. Both over time would be nice though.

4>Should the pumping remain a “every workout” thing or is it time to cut it back a bit?

So, if anyone wants to chime in and give some advice here and answer my questions it would be greatly appreciated.

My experience with clamping is that I know I’m doing it too intensely when I get red dots. Once I get red dots, I have to stop completely for at least a week and then start up doing only once a days for a while before can work back up to 3 a days. Maybe it’s simply a matter of looking for negative PIs. I look forward to hearing what more experienced people here have to say though.

Why? Do you think ejaculating (I’m guessing that’s what you mean) will negate the clamp session? What gives you that idea?

If you’re already doing it daily, I’d call that serious. No need to go overboard, you’ll just invite trouble from overtraining.

If you don’t need it to get the erection, you could cut back. Too much of everything is not a good thing.

When clamping, should I be trying to stop blood inflow AND outflow? Or just the movement of blood back out of my dick?

Most guys try to clamp just enough to restrict outflow.

What are the benefits of restricting both? How do I know when I’m just restricting outflow?

I would suspect if you restrict both, you will have created a real tourniquet, stopping inflow of blood. This cuts off the supply of blood, oxygen, nutrients to the tissues. Tissues without oxygen will die.

Not worth the risk to get it that tight to me.

What about the big girth gainers like big girtha? Surely his approach was to restrict both albeit for only ten minutes at a time?

Hell I would feel to much pain before I was able to stop both inflow and outflow. I hover anywhere between 3-4 clicks on the clamp any more than that and lymph vessels start backing up and my base aches like all hell

Think I’ll give big girths’s clamping thread another read.

I’ll re-read it again too. I’m pretty sure he didn’t advocate complete cutting off of blood flow, just the outflow. I have been known to misread something though.

I hope that one of the heavy girth men can clear this up. How would I know that I’m clamping too tight?

I’m the one with the least girth, but working on it. I do know the answer to this one though.

Black and cold = too tight.

Black is OK if that’s your natural color though…cold is not good though.

Numbness
Cold head
EXTREME darkening (not just a few shades as normal)
Tingling
Erection difficulty once out of clamp

Just experiment with edging and kegelling infront of some good quality porn and find the point at which you can maintain a rock hard engorged erection in the clamp with as few clicks as possible. Once found, you can click in once or twice to experience the higher pressure. So long as you’re avoiding the above negative signs you’re doing fine.
