I think that growth is greatly promoted by holding length or girth at an enlarged state as long as possible.
I think this method has promoted both length and girth gains since it comfortably maintains a partial erection for long amounts of time, and I’m going to continue with this because I think it’s working. I previously never crossed the 6” girth threshold without temporary fluid buildup from pumping “gains” until I started using this method with the cinch wrap, also using brief but intense jelqing/stretching breaks every 30-60min or so for at least 6-8 hrs a day, sometimes more.
Back when pumping, I noticed wildly fluctuating “gains” due to fluid buildup. I was up to 7” girth or more on many occasions with fluid buildup after pumping. The wife noticed the extra girth but commented that it didn’t feel as good during sex as regular hard dick, even at regular girth (around 5.75 at the time). She said it was spongy.
You might get some fluid buildup using the technique I outlined, but I notice that fluid buildup is greatest at lower constrictions and less at higher constriction, and will go away quickly. My hypothesis is that at higher constriction there is enough inner pressure from the corpus cavernosa that fluid has no room to build up in the skin.
