Are there any supplements or anything to help speed things along

Viagra and Cialis are probably the two most promising PE supplements.

How and when to use them is still open for debate. You can find some good threads on the subject by using the search function.

Promising for what? They won’t “speed things along” or help gains. They just keep you erect and that’s really only benficial for pumping. I don’t see these drugs as helpful PE supplements.

You are still looking for a short cut! Don’t smoke, healthy diet, drink plenty of water, and get your rest. All these things can help you get the most out of your PE.

The only thing that will actually give you a bigger unit is actually investing the time and effort in PE. No magic pills, no secret exorcises, that’s it.

No, I’m not looking for a short cut (but we all wish there was one!)
I was just wondering if there was anything to increase the blood flow or speed up healing kind of thing :)

But it’s cool, I do everything you mentioned, so I’m looking forward to my gains!

Hello Westla,

I can think of a couple of ways in which Viagra and Cialis MIGHT be useful.

The first would be for, as you mentioned, erect exercises (pumping, clamping, etc.).

Second, Bib and others have speculated they might be helpful in converting BPFL to BPEL and/or “cementing” gains.

Finally, while I haven’t seen this mentioned before, I think Cialis in particular might be capable of improving recovery time. Faster recover would allow for more training cycles per year and subsequently more progress.

While the vast majority of supplements turn out to be a waste of money, I still think Viagra and Cialis hold far more promise than anything else currently on the market.

That said, I do think newbies should just stick with the basics before fooling around with “advanced” routines or supplements. However, if someone has been at it for a while and they have already made the dietary and lifestyle changes iamaru mentioned, Viagra and Cialis MIGHT be worth a shot.

Just my opinion.

Hello iamaru,

I agree wholeheartedly.

However, even with a optimized diet and lifestyle and hanging 40 to 60 set per week, I was stuck with zero gains for over nine months. At the end, I was hanging up to 27.5 pounds. A total of 1,819 sets without an iota of progress.

At some point you either give up or start looking for a better way.

slackjawedyokel, check out the old discussions about vitamin C being bad for PE. I don’t think we ever reached a consensus but you are being a bit obsessive (and I mean that in a good way) about researching PE and might get something out of it.

MX, can’t argue with that. It took me a long time to get any gains and I had plateau after plateau as well. It gets very frustrating reading posts where, “Hi guys, I am new. Haven’t actually started PEing yet but after reading stuff at Thunder’s for one week my penis has grown by 1/2 inch!!”

Hope you are experimenting rather than giving up. Others have gone longer without gaining but gotten bigger eventually.

iamaru,

I basically quit and didn’t do any PE for almost a year.

Now in the last four months, I’ve managed to gain 0.375” EL and 0.25” EG. It’s like being a newbie all over again. I know this sort of progress won’t continue indefinitely, but I’ll take whatever I can get.

Now if i could only find the line between intelligent persistence and bullheadedness.

When I want something to work to the best of it’s abilities (if that makes sense) I do tend to get obsessive a bit! But my theory is if I can get as much information as possible then at the end of the day it helps all of us, not just me, which can only be a good thing. I’m sure there are things we haven’t tried and things we haven’t thought of regarding PE. I also feel that certain factors will speed up/prohibit gains (much like the aforementioned diet, exercise) which is why I’m being “obsessive in a good way”.
We all have much to gain - in more ways than one!
Hopefully I’m not annoying you guys by asking all the questions, the search thing isn’t working on my browser, but I will hopefully reinstall Windows today, which should solve that problem.
Thanks again :)

I’ll take this one Westla.

I do however, agree with you a bit that they can help you perform the exercises, but our opinions don’t make them fact.

Even if we did proof it works for you, it still might not work that way with everyone else.

This is the best stuff!!

Yes, I notice the words in red. I intentionally wrote it that way so that it would be clear I was expressing an opinion.

I’ve been reading PE boards since 2001. I somehow got the impression that idea here is to help one another by sharing our thoughts and experiences.

And people wonder why so many members lurk.
