Benefits of Heat in PE

It would be better to be warmer but surely still provide some benefit?

When I stretch I wamp up with rice sock and every 3 4 sets I re heat with the sock.I can feel the difference, especially with my thick cord

I started some months ago with Jes Extender and I got 0,23” hard and 0,59” stretched after 179 hours stretching along 5 months.
I Decided to combine the Extender with some jelq and exercises .

For warming I am using a plastic cup (a transparent Tupperware cup) filled with hot water from the shower. Seems very effective to warm..
There are some problem with this warm method?

I also think method with cup and hot water is one of the best. There are some inconveniences with that, like it’s water and can splash or we can use it mostly standing, but it works quite effective.

There are also few variations with water. For example, we can pour that in small packet and tie/seal. Slower, but can be used sitting/laying on bed.

They are dry heat if applied over dry material (or directly to the skin which you can do but I don’t really recommend).

If you wrap thin damp material around your penis before applying the gel pack, you’ll get wet heat, which penetrates better.

I tried with wet sock and also with the wrap that comes with the gel pack, which I put in hot water.It really penetrates better into the tissues.

Bed Buddy sock off Amazon works wonders. Heat up for 75 seconds and you’re good to go.

Has anybody thought about making a heater from wire wrapped around a cylinder like a toilet paper tube. You could use it with a traction device at the same time. To get the wire to heat up just apply some battery voltage to it.

Researcher/Scientist here who lurks but doesn’t post. My 2 cents..

It is undeniable that heated plastic deformation is the most important factor in PE. The results are mixed mainly because the virtues of heat are realized closer to 41-43*C for more than just brief seconds. Unfortunately, cells in other soft tissues begin to die at 43-47C. Particularly, fat cells first, and then myosin (muscle protein) at around 47-49C.

Because much of the collagen that you are targeting is surrounded by other tissues, blood flow through the penis combined with thin and sensitive skin make it tricky to reach 43C at the deep collagen layers without exceeding 45C in the other tissues. Every superficial heat test I’ve seen was only able to reach deep temps of about 38-40C before risking skin/muscle damage.

The obvious exception to this is radio frequency (typically ultrasound) therapy to leave the superficial tissues cool and cause a heat response in the deep tissues. I hear a lot of talk about 1Mhz US devices which are arguably too deep for PE, but can still work at low power for longer duration. 3Mhz is said to be better but IMO and in my experience is both too fast and too superficial, depending on the device. I would suggest that 2Mhz monopolar RF is probably the ideal device for this application. Unfortunately, such devices are much more rare. But if anyone wants to spend some real money in the name of science, I would suggest that the Cutera Trusculpt 3D machine with the chin applicator is probably the best PE heating device available. It generates a broader and more even heat response at a more uniform and optimal depth. It also has precise temp measurement and control.

Interesting read. Maybe I’m missing it, but it seems that Trusculpt’s small applicator like we’d use goes back to 1 MHZ. What is this chin applicator you speak of? Also, what is your take on FIR to reach the desired temps?

Ah correct, I thought they had a 2mhz in the smaller head as well. I would still say that their 1Mhz piece puts out a more controlled and even heat at consistent depths than other US devices I’m familiar with. This could very well be a result of it being a monpolar device as opposed to unipolar. More effort is placed on orienting the current to be perpendicular to the tissue interfaces. Admittedly, monopolar RF tends to focus heat in the fatty tissues, so there is a chance that it wouldn’t be quite as optimal for PE heating.

FIR is probably the second choice for deep heat, but still heats the surface tissues to higher temps than desired. Radio frequency is the only current technology that will completely bypass the surface tissues and dissipate the energy deeper in the more dense tissues. The problem with FIR is not the ability of the wave to penetrate tissue, it is how quickly the circulating fluids remove the heat in the deeper layers as it tries to build.

In terms of application, there is a significant difference between 43C TA with 40C skin temps and 43C TA with 45C skin temps. 43C is noticeably hot but tolerable and therapeutic in the deep tissues, and 40C would only feel warm on the skin. 45C will almost certainly be painful on such delicate skin and with exposure times of 30-60 minutes, protein denaturation and a delayed response of adipocyt necrosis can begin.

If you suggested the combined use of low power US to disproportionately heat the TA and a FIR lamp to help retain a more uniform heat accumulation as you move the US head around, I would support that and say it is probably better than the combined use of US and heated rice sock.
