Clamping, how tight is too tight

Hi, I am not a PE newbie, and decided to try clamping. I went to walmart and picked up the cable clamps and ACE bandage, I could not find any of the magnetic wraps discussed.

My problem is that when I start, I lose my erection after 5 or so minutes, the blood is flowing out of my penis. However, being a newb to clamping, I am scared I will clamp too tight and run into problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, I always went by feel, but if you can’t even maintain even a normal erection level, it’s too loose.

For me now, I’ve been clamping for a long time, I clamp till it can’t clamp it down anymore, push it towards the
pubic bone and kegel and get good engorgement.

I clamp as tight as I can. But I’ve conditioned myself. Avoid pain! That’s the key.

Mike: The ace is probably too thin and that material will irritate your skin eventually, almost anything would be better. You want something soft on the inside, against your skin and rubbery on the outside for padding and no slip. Neoprene wraps are ideal, they don’t have to be the legendary Mag-wrap. In fact that Futuro Wrist wrap with the thumb loop is the best, but you have to cut it down.

Also, UD is right. Clamp off an erection as tight as you can get it (within reason No Pain) then jelq in blood by kegeling and pressing the clamp toward your body, then click it off. Once you are well engorged, then it doesn’t matter if you lose the erection, you won’t lose the engorgement.

I use an ace bandage with great effect. It doesn’t irritate my skin. I cut the ace bandage into pieces of the appropriate length. I wrap the bandage around about four to six times, then I put the clamp over this. However, bear in mind that I am now using the pipe clamps, instead of the plastic Cable Clamp. But I used the ace bandage with the Cable Clamps as well.

Plastic cable Clamps are pretty quiet.

I don’t know, that crinkly ACE bandage material was always a little course for me under the pressure of a CableClamp, but every shaft is different. Some guys use infant socks, paper-towels and some use nothing. Drilla comes to mind. I think personal experimentation with wraps is the key.

I also agree that the ratcheting sound of a CableClamp is unmistakable, and once the little woman knows what it is you can forget stealth. But be advised all ye who clamp that there are a couple of new clamps in the making. I have been asked not to talk too much about one of them yet, but I will say this, one of them will be silent, the other, well we still don’t know how it is going to close yet. But yes, a turnkey hose clamp would be quiet in bed right next to the Mrs. She might feel the movement, but would most likely just think you were playing with yourself and do what most wives do when they are trying to sleep and hubby is horny, IGNORE YOU.

I dont mean to suggest that the threadstarter is a newbie, I’m just saying an exercise such as clamping shouldnt be discussed in this forum full stop.

BG corrected me: They are called hose clamps, not pipe clamps. It’s a good thing I’m not a handyman! Anyhow, yes, they are quiet. But they take a bit longer to attach, as you have to tighten them down. I use a nut driver, which is basically a screwdriver with a socket wrench on the end. I can tighten my clamp in fifteen seconds or so. Then I tighten it further as the set progresses. This would be the only drawback to using them in bed: You’d have to have your nut driver with you! But I really prefer the hose clamps to the Cable Clamp.
