Deconditioning Break Thread - please share the effect it had

Hi guys,
I’m currently on a 3 month decon break (haven’t really gained in 6 months despite hard work; have been PE-ing for 3.5 years).

I searched in the forums, but nowhere could I find an organised thread about the effect of decon breaks. Lots of people say it works, and there’s a lot of posts like this one, where people announce their break, but never do they come back to report any results.

It would be great if people would share their decon breaks here.

- For how long were you not gaining anymore?
- How long was the break for?
- Did it have the desired effect once you started again?
- … anything you want to share…

Thanks!
Gus

The ligaments have the potential to become as strong as steel, but the tunica is made of a different material and structure, so decons make sense to allow ligaments to weaken but does this apply to the tunica?

Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

By what we know, tunica is actually similar to ligs and tendons.

- I got newbie gains for around two-three months with my routine (girth blaster jelqs).

- I measured everyday for a few times and noticed a pattern that showed I stopped gaining (one month).

- I decided to take a one month break.

- I lost some of my newbie gains during that one month break.

- After that one month break I decided I needed to get back into PE, I also tried clamping for the first time and with the first one to two weeks I got almost most of my gains back, but I did clamping for around two-three months and got no more gains.

- I recently decided to go my to my previous routine which is the only type of PE that has worked for me.

Hi all, here’s my update:

I had a decon break lasting 7 weeks in the end.
During this period I didn’t lose *any* erect length, and about 0.25 cm of flaccid length (so hardly any). I guess the fact that I had been PE-ing for 6 months without any results means I have ‘cemented’ my gains well.
NB: I only stretch manually/ADS, and I don’t jelq. I don’t know if that makes a difference why I didn’t lose any gains. (?Jelqing causes a degree of tissue swelling which means you gain quickly but also loses quickly? I’m not sure.)

I have just started PE-ing again and will keep you updated regarding new gains.

Final update:
have been back at PE for 6 weeks since my decon break.
I don’t think it was that useful. I gained 0.25 cm erect length, but that may also be due to a slightly different routine (more manual stretching, less ADS).
I defo did not experience any newbie gains. Perhaps I have really reached my limit, or perhaps the break wasn’t long enough (7 weeks).

I hope this info is useful for anybody considering a decon break.

I wouldn’t expect “newbie gains” after less than 2 months of break…

I’ve had a 10 month break recently and even after that getting more “newbie gains” is questionable.

- Before my decon break I hadn’t gained any length in about 1.5 years

- I took a 3.5 week decon break and restarted with the newbie routine

- I didn’t lose any size, and would have probably benefited from a longer decon, but I was too anxious to restart.

- After 6 weeks I’ve measured +0.25 in. BPFSL. So far BPEL looks about the same. I’m hoping the BPFSL will eventually translate to BPEL.

- I believe that stretching accounted for most of my BPFSL gains. I tried adding in ULI’s and that actually stopped my BPFSL gains for about 2 weeks.

- I also incorporated a IR lamp into my workouts, so I have constant heat applied throughout. I think this helps a lot.

- Here’s a great thread about decon breaks that I found helpful: Progress after a year or longer off?

Check onenekkidguy’s profile, he has taken a few 6 month decon break and had pretty quick immediate gains.

Pre PE: 5/8/04 BPEL 6.25" EG 5"

Goal: BPEL 7.5" EG 5.5"

Read my thread, It is about how my decon breaks were effective for me. I went 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

I would have mentioned your thread, tnt, but thought he was looking for longer term breaks. I plan to try your cycle approach when I hit my plateau.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I need a way longer break than 7 weeks…

Craven, do not hit that plateau before you plan to try your cycle approach. You will regret it. It will take a long time get out of the
plateau area. You have to cycle while conditioned to give your unit time to repair itself, but to be ready to get back into the exercises,
and to come back for repair and back to work. It is my belief that you can callus your cock. Cycling is like rotating for a fresher cock,
but it will take what ever time you choose to give it a repair break, and once the break is over, you have a fresh unit to start working with.

I saw my fastest gains doing this. I think it makes so much sense and it made PEing a hell of a lot easier.

I don’t believe in decon breaks personally, because it’s just a waste of time. Rather than make an excuse for your demotivation after going balls out PE’ing, unless you hurt yourself, plateaus can be easily broken with smarter training cycles. Instead of launching into hard sets of wet jelqs and stretches you cycle back in with very gentle exercises and s-l-o-w-l-y progress back into another harder routine until you’ve built yourself bigger from the weakest areas up. For instance you could do 3 sets of 30 second stretches and 3 sets of 50 very light wet jelqs twice a week, three times if you have something else to work on and can do the A-B-A, B-A-B style of training. After a couple weeks you would tighten your grip little by little and do less, NOT MORE, reps until you’re nocking out sets of 20 wet jelqs at higher EQ levels without bruising or broken blood vessels - Because you put your time in to work on PE exercises from the ground up, or lightest to what you know you can handle. More exercises and reps does not mean you will grow more, and PE toys, gadgets, and gizmos should be left to advanced guys with time under their belt who understand exactly what they can handle without injury.
