Difference between hanging and stretching

Difference between hanging and stretching

Is there any besides the amount of time?

Hanging has a greater effect and will get your ligs fatigued faster. Besides that you don’t need to use your hands while hanging

Nbpel - 6.5" Bpel 7.25" Eg 5.125"

I think the biggest difference between hanging and stretching, besides weight and hands, lies in the base plate of the extender. Why the base plate, you ask. Skin stretch and ‘turkey neck’ penis.

As ligament stretches and allows more of the hidden portion of the penis to be exposed, it requires more skin to accommodate it. With hanging, when penis skin stretches, the skin on the scrotum acts as ‘pressure release’, pulling up onto the penis. In contrast, the base plate of the extender stops this pull up. So with sustained long term stretching, skin expands and extends. (There are good data in the Plastic Surgery literature to justify this skin expansion, though their results come from tissue expanding balloons under the skin versus external stretch).

I’ll agree that ligament fatigue takes longer and the force is only 4 - 6 pounds, but the slow constant skin stretch may out way the rapidity of fatigue with hanging, at least for those with time on their hands (and have no problems using them).

Doc,

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this thread is actually referring to manual stretching, rather than mechanical extenders.

Also, because of your area of expertise, I’ve got a question on another topic I’d like to throw at you in a PM that you might choose to start as a thread if you are interested.

Thanks

Hey I’m big into wearing my traction extender as my only PE these days. Please share any and all. My theory is that the device may be good for those prone to subject to over training, which I know is/has been key to my lack of huge gains. At least after a long time in this game that’s what I’ve decided.

When you manual stretch, you stretch in all directions as opposed to the downward stretch when hanging.

Started: Bpel 7 mseg 4.5

Current: Bpel 7.5 mseg 4.75

Goal: at least 8.5X6.5

You can stretch at different angles while hanging too

I think that the main difference is that by hanging you can apply smaller force but for longer periods of time. Manual stretching allows greater force, but hand fatigue will come up eventually.
