Hi Buddy,
I was just kidding about the small or large hands/feet myth. It always seems to get a reaction and I get a real kick out of it.
I would have loved to have been called “horse”, or donkey, mule, or what ever, since my nickname in grade school was “PeeWee!” I hated it, but I never let on that I was hurt by it, so I laughed along with them. Anyway, what would it have gained to have done otherwise?
As the years went by, and I became more involved at school, sports, ran for class president and vice president of the student government (and won both), and after school activities (High School fraternity, Boy Scouts, etc.). I was short in statue (5’4” at the time), so the “real reason” for my nickname was finally lost to history and everyone thought it was because of my height. :chuckle:
The nick name “PeeWee” became a way of expressing their friendship. I stopped hating it from then on and was proud to be “PeeWee.”
We also had a very short (way less than 5’…maybe 4”10” ?) guy in high school who was really, unbelievably hung. I have seen him in the locker room and I swear his flaccid hung out of his boxers by about an inch or more. I never say it erect, but his nickname was “Crane” because it supposedly looked like a construction crane when erect.
