I would like to know if there is some kind of consensus about this topic or if it’s more like “do what feels better for you”. First I have to say that I always wait for the erection to totally subside after a girth workout before I do any length workout so this should bot be the topic. I go into the length workout flaccid with a limp one but there is just more blood in it and the tunica feels a bit “prepared”.

I like doing my jelqing before I stretch. The resistance of the penis is a little higher when I do the stretch then, yes, but I just pull a bit harder :) This version actually feels better then doing the warmup and then the stretch.
The jelqing before already bring the penis in an expanded state with a nice blood flow. Starting with stretching makes me feel that I pull some tough tissue and I think this makes the penis more prone to injury than starting with jelqing and doing the stretches afterwards.
But maybe I’m wrong. I’m interested in what brings the gains (especially length, but also some girth so it looks proportional) and not what feels good (as long as there is no injury).

Same for hanging: If I jelq wet, remove lube and hang then (waiting for the erection to totally subside) it feels better then if I didnt jelq before.

But is it effective?

So should the girth-exercises be done completely seperate from the length exercises?


My goal: from 11.9 cm NBPEL to 18 cm NBPEL (~7 ") ...now or never...!!!! after 5 weeks(and a long break): 12.5 cm NBPEL

I have always felt that if you do stretching after jelqing you drain the tunica of all that blood you just worked so hard to pump in there.

For me, if I stretch first and then do girth work, I end up with the best after PE result in both length and thickness.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Best for me seems to be splitting up the exercises with at least 3- 4 hours rest between. And I will now always stretch first.

I’de say to girth exercises after length ones. Jelqing is considered good after stretching because it restores circulation and the blood flow helps heal your unit after stretching.

There are good sides in both - girth first, stretches after, or the other way around. Girth before stretch is somewhat like pre-exhaustion in bodybuilding.

Personally, I have found that the girth exercises allowed my length to work better, as if they work in concert. I usually do a mix in my routine, using fast jelq to warm up, then light stretching, then jelq/440’s, then heavy stretching. Later in the day I do the 1hr inverted V stretch.

Of course, my gains have been fairly proportional in length and girth. If you were trying to target one or the other, I’m not sure how well it would work.

Experiment and find what works for you.

Personally I just do length work, and the girth has followed of its own accord.

I clamped for a while last year, but my EQ tanked and that’s doesn’t work for me or the missus.

I’ve found consistently that girth exercises seem to make my penis stretchier about 12-18 hours later. FWIW.

In my experience careful jelqing, is like a massage that relaxes the tissue. If you avoid very much engorgement/high erection percent jelqing, you can do it at the same time - I usually use a waterbased lubricant, so when I am starting to dry up a bit I can perform a stretch or five. You could however look at the the other way, and say doing the the stretch first facilities more engorgment during more erect jelqing (or pumping, ULI, clamping, edging, whatever blows up your junk to the max). Another point being most of us does not jelq exactly the same way or have exactly the same tissue, etc. So whatever feels like expanding your penis the most…. is the perhaps the answer?

BUT I firmly believe that they are complementary - you should do both, always! I think many disagrees with me on this point however.

So in the newbie routine, does that mainly focus on length? Or is it directed at girth? Or both?

I have read that someone must always do length before girth. My problem is that the TGC theory states otherwise. Right now my BPFSL is .5 greater than my BPEL and I have added clamping to my hanging routine. It has only been a few days, but everything is looking good.

I’ve been hanging for a few months now and my BPFSL is large enough now to add clamping. I plan everything and I am expecting great results.

Today I did double my usual hanging sets followed by a mechanical stretching set in a hot bath for 20 minutes. When I finished my flaccid was nearly as big as my erect girth.

When hard later my unit looked like it had been clamped.

I will repeat the process tomorrow and hopefully there will be similar results.

The newbie routine focuses on both. Stretching for length and jelqing for girth but it can also add length.

I like to do stretching before jelqing.


Pre PE: 5/8/04 BPEL 6.25" EG 5"

Goal: BPEL 7.5" EG 5.5"
