Heat: Affects on Sperm Production

Heat: Affects on Sperm Production

It seems that using heat in PE is gaining popularity quite quickly on the forums. I have looked into it but have been quite afraid of its affect on sperm production. I do not believe it is easy to isolate the penis while heating it, unless it is done specifically before or after the workout - using a UV lamp during isn’t possible without heating the testicles directly.

Is no one else here worried about the affects this might have on your sperm production?

What are you on about? That’s cute and all but I started a new thread on purpose.

I specifically want to know what some of the IV guys are doing about it now.

I use a UV lamp sometimes but I guess i’ve never been too worried…there are plenty of kids who need parents through adoption.

But on a serious note….are you saying that it reduces sperm count? or sperm quality?

What I’m “on about” is letting you know that the subject is not new. Using the search feature would help you find the threads where this has already been discussed. By reviving an older thread (by posting in it) you can bring up the opinions of others and help those new to the subject see all sides of the discussion.

Starting a new thread on an old topic is something that new members do all the time. For those of us who have the reponsibility of managing this site it becomes an indication that the newbie hasn’t done any reasearch, doesn’t want to, or is just lazy. Helping the new guys to learn about seraching makes everyone’s exeperience here richer and also helps consolidate topics into fewer threads, which is easier on everyone looking for a discussion on a particular topic.

I’d also suggest that you get the terminology straight. UV is ultraviolet, the kind of light that creates a tan. IR is infrared, the kind of light that produces heat. IV usually means intravenous and has nothing to do with light.

Here are a few threads easily found with the search button:

Just bought my infra red light.

How bad is the infrared lamp really for your sperm?

IR and Fertility

Heat: Affects on Sperm Production

Clarification on using infrared (IR) light

Thank you for your help. I wrote the wrong initials by mistake, but with regard to the search, I had actually searched several times and for some reason did not come across these threads.

I am a big fan of the search function, which is why I don’t post very much.
