Well ok I said I would answer tomorrow at noon, but I will answer this one tonight in order to pre-empt any more folks asking it. The short answer is no. However there has been discussions about this a lot and most of the confusion comes from a few ideas about how masturbation could affect gains. For one, some PEers felt that their flaccid shrinks more if they masturbate after a PE session. The thought is that this might affect gains somehow because keeping your dick as large as possible for as long as possible is generally seen as a good thing. If you notice this effect, and you are scared about it affecting gains then don’t do it, I don’t care. Another topic that is often brought up is that ejaculation will lower your testosterone temporarily. Some people thought T helped gains so lowering it would be a bad thing. Well I for one have never seen a reasonable argument about how high testosterone would help gains. However, I have heard that while ejaculating might lower your T temporarily, it actually increases it in the long term so if you stop masturbating altogether your testosterone will go down. Another thing people have mentioned is that jerking off just plain interferes with your exercises if you start spanking it in the middle of jelqing. Basically it can be a distraction. One more thing is that this concept of “ballooning” seems to have a small following of practitioners and so jerking off quickly would lower the amount of time your penis is under high pressure. In case you don’t know, ballooning is similar to edging, which basically refer to the concept of keeping your dick erect for as long as possible. They say that the internal pressure of your erection itself can improve gains. Well, all in all I haven’t seen any good reason why masturbating would have a negative affect on gains and most other senior members would agree.

As an aside, perhaps some of the confusion can be traced back to twatteaser’s early questioning into this concept.

What is newbie?
