There seems to be a popular mantra here that one should PE only for oneself, not out of concern for other people’s judgments.

In all honesty, I don’t think I understand what this means. I can’t see how any benefit that might accrue from PEing wouldn’t be mediated by other people’s perceptions of your penis size.

For example, you might say, “My reason for PEing is to increase my self-confidence,” but how does enlarging your penis lead to greater self-confidence? Because you no longer have to fear — and in fact can look forward to — other people’s judgments of your dick, right? (Whether these judgments be in an erotic context with a sexual partner, or in a non-erotic locker-room/skinny-dipping context.)

I’m not trying to argue here. I’m just asking for some further insight into men’s motivations for PEing.

I think what is mean’t by this is that you should PE because YOU want to, and not for example: because some girl says or makes you feel inadaquate.
