Is heat NECESSARY for girth gain?

I must admit, I usually skip applying heat before I clamp and squeeze. I know heat is good for injury prevention, and there has been documentation of the role of applying heat in stretching ligs (but that’s about length).

But, what are your opinions about applying heat before girth sessions? Not in terms of injury prevention, but specifically in terms of aiding in gaining. Is it necessary, to warm the tunica, etc. so it will expand better, or something?

Do any of you big girth gainers NOT use heat?

I find myself too lazy to go downstairs and heat up the rice sock, then wait ten minutes while my unt heats.

Heat is just another tool in your PE arsenal. You can choose to use it or not. For me, I use all the tools at my disposal for maximum results. I think there is a big difference between not using and using heat as far as end of session results go. Especially girth, because I pump with heat.

gprent101 - what temperature do you work at? I’ve heard that plasticity occurs around 115-130 degrees F. Does this sound correct to you? Thanks.

I don’t know what the temp is, it’s just nice and warm. I wrap the tube with an electric heat pad.

I have gained almost 1.25” in girth so far from 5” to almost 6.25” with no heat, ever. So, I’m voting for ‘no’ on this one.

How did you do it girthguy? What was your girth routine?

I do 10-15 30-45 second dry squeezes with my jelqing routine. Does anyone have any experience with squeezes for girth? I guess it’s kind of like clamping but manual and for shorter periods of time.

liloveravg - for me, the clamp merely replaces my bottom hand to hold the blood in, so I can use both hands to squeeze in various places on the shaft. Some guys clamp and just leave the clamp on for extended periods, but I don’t feel like that’s stressing/pushing out on the tunica enough.

Which begs the question “Could I have gained more if I had used heat?”

I’ve been using an IR lamp for my sessions for the past month. Jelq routine Mon, Wed, Fri, stretching with heat Mon-Fri. I gained 1/8” each EG and EL this month alone.

Careful. Don’t cook your dick. 104-112 F is the ideal temp range.

Well, it’s quite hard to heat the interior of your penis.

The bloodflow will act as a coolant, and redirect heat.
I’m not sure how much you can actually raise the temperature in the collagenous tissue, and if a raise is sufficient to actually make the elongation of the tissue, a plastic deformation instead of an elastic deformation.

I only use heat about 25% of the time.

So far, I felt that the lack of heat has hindered me.

However, everyone is different.

I have used various exercises over the last few years. I’ve been really sporatic too most of the time. I’d say the things that contributed most to my gains have been the level of intensity I use. I do all my girth work at 100%+ erection level and use squeezing exercises. “Horse squeezes” and “Uli” type squeezes are my personal favorites. My routines have varied. Sometimes I’ve done 2 on, 1off routines, sometimes 5 on 2 off.

Mild constriction while using and IR pad or site directed heating with ultrasound are two very real possibilities.

True, but keep Hobby’s concern in mind. Don’t cook it :-)

I’d rather spend a little longer stretching, than to harm it due to excessive heat.
