My experience is that, straight or gay, people look. They just look for different reasons and with different levels of interest - again straight or gay. The gay guys that hang around the steam room look with a high degree of interest. There are other gay guys that have a life outside the gym and they don’t tend to look. The hetero guys either don’t care or they’re curious about the stacking up question.

If anything I’ve become more of a ‘peeker’ since joining this site. My curiosity has increased in direct proportion to wanting know what’s what. I still feel like I want to go to the gym, change, do my workout and go home, and that it really shouldn’t matter what anybody is packing.

But then again I’m curious… I just try not to let it get the better of me, because I know how creepy it is.

You maybe right especially for when you say “different reasons.” Perhaps some of it has to do with my perception of gay guys not being competition but I see also see them as judging more than solely on my flaccid size.

In South Florida that could be true. Unlike taz’s situation, I thankfully don’t worry about gossip.

Like Mr. Happy, I too have become a bit of a peeker since joining. Even before, there was guy at the gym who was a mega flaunter with a huge flaccid. Well, I saw him again today and thought “he’s not so big”. It could have just been an off day for him, but I also think that my perceptions have changed because of Thunder’s.

Thank you for understanding. I wouldn’t go to this gym if I had other options. I’m somewhat well known for my work, so a public gym is out of the question for me. This gym doesn’t allow ‘drifters’ in, and its actually a ‘private club’. Its good, because I can work out without people bothering me. But my peers/colleagues are so superficial that I feel like I’m being sized up in every way. From my pocket book to the whiteness of my teeth. If I walked out w/o showering, they would gossip that I must be tiny.

I know what you mean when you say your flaccid varies. For me, working out actually helps it. As long as its not too cold in the locker room I’m good.

It sounds like you can sympathize. Have you been in similar situations?

I think we all struggle with comparisons. In our own heads if nowhere else.

I think you mentioned it earlier in one of your posts that the gossip in your situation “High Schoolish”. I went to a very small high school and was the only Spanish kid in school. We didn’t even have any blacks everyone was white.

I was on the cross country team and it was expected to shower after practice. The showers were an open area. Some guys from the team were in there as well as some football players. Everything was good until one of the football players says to me “hey you can’t be 100% Cuban you got a black dick. Was the milkman black?”

The guy was looking and laughing with the other players to his side then turned to me but my soap was already well on its way and hit him in the face. Well that was the only shot I got in. It was the worst ass whooping of my life but at least it didn’t last long. It was bad enough that I couldn’t practice for a couple of days and almost missed a key race. Thank goodness I was key member of the team. I never said a thing to my coach but some teammates did. The track coach talked to the football coach and I was made untouchable for the rest of the year. It still didn’t stop me hearing shit from schoolmates for the rest of the year.

That was my first time naked and showering in front of other guys. I was 14 years old and never showered at a gym again till I was in my mid-twenties.

My flaccid tends to get smaller when I work out especially with aerobic workouts.

As adults, were less likely to say stupid stuff like that out loud. But unfortunately, rumors said behind your back can hurt just as much.

My penis is a lot darker than my regular skin color.

In my junior year those guys had graduated and the story did morph into that I was hung like black guy. It was worth the brief ass whooping. You just never know how things will end up.
