Locating the bc muscle

Thanks W.. :D

Excellent work, thanks Westla. A ‘must read’ for beginners as well as veterans.

With avocet’s Ejaculation article and the rest this place is becoming
the PE University.

WOW!

Great article, thanks for the post.

Westla, great article.
That explains why I can contract closer to the penis, the BC and also sometimes feel contractions further back, the PC.

Sometimes it feels as though I can contract the left and right side of the BC muscle independantly. Anyone else feel this?

I was reading on actiontao.com , Dr Lin said contracting the “tail-bone” muscle was the key to maintaining a good erection and delaying ejaculation. He says contracting the PC brings ejaculation on quicker.
This would imply the IC is what we should be exercising.

So when doing BTB jelqing and the so-called “ballooning”, we are massaging the BC’s?

I can’t do it. That would take an amazing amount of discretion and control. I don’t see that having this ability would make any difference in doing Kegel’s exercise though.

A. Dr. Lin is not a physician, nurse, anatomist, physiologist or other medical professional. He’s an electrical engineer. And while people with that degree are intelligent and successful in their field, their degree does not mean squat when it comes to human physiology.
B. There is no “tail bone muscle.” He’s probably referring to the bulbocavernosus (BC).
C. If he really is talking about contracting the PC, then I see no correlation with contracting it and ejaculation. As has been pointed out by others, about 90-95% of what Lin says is bullshit used to sell his pills.

So when doing BTB jelqing and the so-called “ballooning”, we are massaging the BC's?
Probably. I haven’t studied the ballooning technique, but if you’re massaging your perineum (the area between your scrotum and anus) then you’re massaging the BC muscles.

Absolutely GREAT article westla … but good luck correcting the misnomer. :)

I’m sure it can be done, but PC has been used for quite a while.

New to the place? Start here.

This is me in case you ever want to know what kind of psycho you're dealing with.

You’r e right, of course. It isn’t my intention to try to change what people call it, but I find it difficult to call it PC now.

Wow

Westla:

Your article is the most comprehensive study I have ever read on the PC muscle. In fact, it feels like this is the first time I am reading about this important muscle since I started doing PE exercises 3 years ago.

Not only do you explain and illustrate all we need to know about this issue but you also clarify a very important misconception, that it is the BC muscle, not the PC muscle, that we are most concerned with.

Thanks a lot for your great help. One question: I am trying to email your article to a friend but I am not allowed. On the other hand, if I copy and paste your article, the pictures are missing.

Hope to see more articles from you.

Mafero

Thanks for your kind words mafero. You might try going to the Link to bad forum (forumid 33) removed and looking at the copy of the article there. It’s in HTML format and you should be able to send the page from your browser that would include the embedded images. Both Netscape and Internet Explorer have a “send page” item in the “File” menu.

Sronger erections

This mentions that if pc exercise doesnt strengthen erections then do B C exercise but i can quite understand what im supposed to contract differently compared to normal kegals, any help please?

In women the Kegel exercise works on the pubococcygeus (PC) muscle. In men it works the bulbocavernosus (BC) muscle. It’s the same exercise. They’re very easy to do and you don’t need to squeeze hard for them to be effective.

Place your fingers between your scrotum and anus (the perineum) and move the muscle you feel there as if you wanted your penis to “jump.” Simple contractions of this muscle (the BC) for 100 to 300 repetitions daily should strengthen it and contribute to stronger erections and more forceful ejaculations. Hold each contraction for a two or three seconds. It’s really easy to do.

@Westla

Thank you for having brought us such a quality explanation on the matter.

Just to check if I understood you right:
When I do Kegel exercices so that I squeeze the whole area a little(however not the maximum) and the penis lifts up, I’m contracting the BC muscle.
If I contract the muscular area even harder (to the maximum) and (in addition to the penis jumping) my anus is squeezed I have contraction on both the BC and the PC muscles - which is not necessary since solely the BC is responsible for the benefits in ejaculation control and erection power men are looking for while doing Kegel’s.

In conclusion, contracting this muscular area to the max is useless because we only need to train our BC muscle to improve sexual performance. Compared to what we were taught in the past, this would result in a Kegel workout by far more comfortable and demanding less concentration while practising it, since you don’t have to squeeze that much.

Am I correct?

Tyler

Tyler - Yes, you understand correctly. Thanks for your question. In men it isn’t necessary to exercise the PC or anal muscles in order to improve erection firmness and ejaculation strength. The BC muscle is the main one responsible.

When I contract my PC it makes me orgasm quicker, and often find that flexing this and holding it up until the point of orgasm is the only way that I can achieve orgasm during sex.
