My first clamping experience - observations

Hey guys,

I’ve been jelqing (with the occasional stretch) over the past 2 or 3 months, and have decided to move into clamping to focus on girth. And just wanted to share my observations in hope that, if anything was wrong, somebody will tell me.

I use a hose clamp (can’t get a hold of cableclamps around here), with a thin cloth wrap (think tshirt cloth) around the bass to avoid pinching. It lasted about 8 minutes.

The first 3 minutes were seemingly uneventful. I didn’t want to screw it too tight, as I was worried I’d fuck it up. But I noticed it wasn’t turning this “dark purple” colour that most people seem to say it should be. So I assumed it wasn’t tight enough, and I tightened it again until it seemed tight enough and I began to notice changes.

- I noticed the darker red colour is a more gradual appearance than I initially thought. I expected it to turn a different colour straight away. But it’s reasonably gradual (2 mins or something) Does the same thing happen to others?

- My cock was a bit cold. Not freezing. But it wasn’t warm. Is that bad?

- I kegel squeezed repeatedly for most of the way through it. Is that right?

- I didn’t warm up or warm down. I’ve read about people who have gained without having to warm up. And I can’t really be arsed warming up, especially if it makes no difference with clamping. Is that okay?

- My veins were really prominent after a while. Like almost intimidating looking, haha. They were much more visible and blue, and when I rad my finger lightly over the shaft I could feel the hardness of the veins. Is that right?

- I’ve read about some cases when the penis can temporarily grow up to 1/4 - 1/2” in girth after clamping. However, after I measured, I was only about 0.5”ish bigger. Although, I was only in full dark-red-throb-clamp mode for a few minutes, plus I only did 1 set. Is that why I didn’t see much change?

- If it takes a few minutes to get into the full clamp blood blockage, how long should I stay in this dark-red-throb-clamp state for?

I’ve been doing my research on clamping lately, but I’m not entirely in the know when it comes to the clamping consensus facts. So any observations on my experience vs consensus will be beneficial to me, to learn from any mistakes I may have made. Thanks!

I basically decided to replace my jelqing/stretch routine with a clamping routine. Is this a smart idea? Or should I do both? If I decide to add jelqing to my clamping routine, would I jelq before or after the clamping session? Or would I do it on a different day even, I.e. Alternate days.

So you’ve entered the world of clamping Nick33. I’ll try and answer your queries, but unless someone is there to watch your dick in the clamp there is only so much advice one can give.

I use a hose clamp (can\’t get a hold of cableclamps around here) - Hose clamps are certainly effective but should something go wrong they aren’t as quickfire to remove - so be extra careful. I hear Bunnings stores in Oz supply Cable Clamps, although you may have already tried there.

But I noticed it wasn\’t turning this "dark purple" colour that most people seem to say it should be. - It doesn’t have to go dark purple to work. Some days you’ll get good expansion without significant colour change, other days it may go darker but it should not be an aim to get your penis a certain shade for clamping to work effectively. If your glans is hard and fully engorged then you’re on your way.

My cock was a bit cold. Not freezing. But it wasn\’t warm. Is that bad? - you need to explain what you’re doing when you’re in the clamp. Are you stimulating the penis, edging to porn or something, or are you just sat there trying to keep hard in your mind? If you’re giving your cock constant attention as I prefer, it should stay warm, with perhaps a cool glans after 5-10 minutes. As you have said, cool is fine, cold is bad.

I didn\’t warm up or warm down. - Warmup effectiveness seems to differ from penis to penis. I personally don’t warm up but other guys swear by it. Experiment if you want by trying both for a few days and see which feels best for you.

I kegel squeezed repeatedly for most of the way through it. - You don’t have to kegel throughout, but throwing in a few for the session won’t hurt. Once you hit the sweet spot you won’t need to kegel much to maintain maximum engorgement.

My veins were really prominent after a while. - this is a good sign that you’re getting a decent clamp pressure. This over time should improve vascular flow to and from your dick and the veinage looks great on a superhard dick. Also useful as it is easier to spot for signs of trauma - remember you need to keep tabs on your penis throughout a clamping session.

There is no rush anyway - remember PE isn’t a quick fix.

If you’re really focused on the clamping then try to fit some light stretches and jelqs beforehand just to keep the penis limber. Jelq in the shower and do some piss-pulls if nothing else. I always favoured a 5 days on 2 days off regime, but as you’re new to clamping perhaps 2 on 1 off? Again it is up to you to experiment to see what works best for you.

I am a not a senior member but I will share my experience with you.

I started clamping about 4 or 5 months ago. The most important thing with clamping is not to overwork it because than it takes twice longer to get back on track. You have to take some time off and so on. Coll is fine but as soon as It gets cold I release it or just lower the pressure. Darkness is not good as well but again you can control that by adjusting your clamp pressure. If it is turning dark and you feel like you have not gotten enough work out just take it easier by lowering the pressure and keep clamping.

I still think that my unit has not fully adjusted to clamping. I do 5 days on and 2 off. 2 10 minutes sets with some light jelqing between. But I started with 1 on 1 off and 1 on 2 off.

Please just do not overwork it and do not get too excited. I have been there and it is not cool to take a break you never planned.

-Hmm, so how can I tell if it’s tight/lose enough? There seems to be a pretty big grey area. It’s pretty much engorged with a reasonably lose tighten at the base. But depending on how tight you guy, makes it harder and more engorged and eventually begins to change colour.

When is it right to transition from stretching/jelqing to clamping? My guess would be when you have your goal length accomplished? But then you need to cement that length right? So once you get your accomplished length, is it wise to cement it or will clamping cement it while increasing girth?

I’m not sure if they have wallmarts in Australia but the best clamps are the “Cable Clamps” Kinda gives you a safety net with the clicks and a easy push button release if you want it off your dick quick.

Not trying to jack your thread or anything Nick33 but I had my first clamping experience yesterday and experienced similar things to you except I used cable clamps. Its good to know that its not expected to produce a 1/2 inch expansion straight away because I got barely 1/2 cm! Which I was really disheartened by but now I see I need to be patient. With that said, does it mean that the tunica will ease up as I continue to clamp, because mine is a bitch and is definitely my limiting factor. Do you think length gains will come if I hang aswell? I don’t really know how I’d encorporate it all into a routine though, any ideas?

Oh yeah, and after I had finished it did not stay in an engorged state at all. In fact almost straight away it shunk and got thinner than usual which made me think maybe I overdid it, but I only did 2 sets of 5 minutes so it couldn’t have been that. Plus my dick is definitly conditioned enough so I was kind of confused at that.
