I can’t answer the question you asked, in terms of recommending specific exercises, but the general theme that I’m reading there is that low force may be preferable to high force for encouraging growth. You want just enough force, and no more. High force tends to toughen and strengthen tissues rather than grow them.
Someone else chime in if I’m reading this wrong.
But this is really no more than a confirmation of pretty widespread advice at Thunder’s, which is that you should start with low effort, monitor your growth, and only increase effort incrementally when gains stop.
Not incorrect but incomplete. At low stress, duration (24/7 ideally) is the second BIG player (regarding girth and length).
Anyhow, the idea behind that thread was not optimize pe-strategies but to better understand why and how pe works. This knowledge, however, is not a requirement for growth.
So just keep on the good work that is best for you, take a break if there is no progress, and change your routine every once in a while.
If heavy duty strengthens the ligs and tunica, a decondition break should soften it more or less (I hope so, at least, because I like a heavy duty cycle every once in a while.
