Putting Away The P.J.-Starting From Scratch

After ten months of using the Power Jelq device and gaining nothing in terms of girth, I’ve started using my hands. After comparing the two in terms of feel, I’m really confused. The PJ creates a lot more pressure and I was more engorged afterwards-yet I didn’t really get anywhere. Now that I’m using manual methods, it seems like even less is happening.
This is gonna work, right? Or will I just end up with baggy dick-skin?
I’m also trying to figure out why the PJ didn’t work. Was it because of where the pressure is being applied? Now that I’m doing it by hand, it’s definitely more of a side to side pressure as opposed to the top and bottom. I know there’s a lot of people here who’ve gotten great results without ever touching any kind of device… if I just keep at it, gains will come, right?

Like for instance, is the portion of shaft in front of the jelqing hand supposed to “blow up” as I complete the stroke? Because I don’t really see anything expanding except the glans. After I complete one stroke, do I let go before the other hand comes in for the next stroke, or should I hold it?

Sorry for these idiotic questions… I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I feel like a novice all over again.

Don’t expect to be expert at manual jelqing quickly it takes time. Try to focus on the sides of the shaft for girth and experiment with different grip rotations. Its probably worth trying to jelq with an overhand OK.

You should see some enlargement ahead of the stroke even at high erection levels.

Go with the hands bro, you proved that the power jelq don’t work for you it may for others I don’t know. Go with jelqing and squeezing at different erections levels. Try 5 days on and 2 off

I use the power jelq mostly as warm up tool, although I also do some squeezes and bundled twists with it too. But I think most of any girth gains I’ve gotten are from Uli squeezes, Horse 440s, Horse jelqs, and Uli wraps (if that’s a term). I’ve gained 1/4 to 3/8ths of an inch in two and a half months.

I like the overhand grip too, where the OK of your thumb and index finger is pointed towards your body. I can get a tight grip way down the shaft that way.

Did you ever use the PJ with the rollers pressing the sides of you dick as opposed to the top and bottom like they show in the PJ videos? I didn’t gain any girth in my first three months of PE. That changed when I switched the pressure to side-to-side. It feels really awkward at first, but you get used to it relatively quick.

I now typically do 150 reps side-to-side and 50 reps the conventional way. Since then, I gained 0.5 inches of girth in the last two months. I know, not spectacular, but now I feel I’ve at least scratched the surface. Good luck!

Never used the PJ thingy, manual only. Plenty of stretches, regular, super, elevator, crunches;kegels, blasters, head and anything I could find. Just started hanging and will see what that adds. Keep at it, IT WORKS….

Bad session today. Couldn’t even keep enough wood to do it right. I tried to watch porn to get “in the mood”, but just got even more depressed watching those huge dicks.

Prickle, this is normal and every PE’er has gone through this shit. I sent you a PM already but I wanted to say something about setting the mood for your sessions and mentally preparing in a better way. I think porno is a great aid to jelqing but it should be chosen with certain elements in mind. First stick to softcore or other forms of pornography that is not so “Dick Heavy” When I am training I am in a very venerable mental position and the smallest negative thought can lead to a chain of thoughts that are unproductive. It is easy to make comparisons to other men which ends up being a huge circle of thoughts that have nothing to do with exercise. Porn as an aid should be beneficial. The way I do this is I hand select pictures that I have previewed that I know do not have penis involved. This calms the anxiety level and allows you to not worry so much about the dicks on the screen but the dick on you:) Remember that I am my own worst enemy…This applies to the mirror, self view and comparisons. Don’t beat yourself up…preplan and create a optimum environment that works for you.

I’ve got a pump that I’ve hardly used. I stopped using it once I discovered the PJ, but now that my situation is the way it is, I was thinking about trying it again along with jelqing. Are the gains made with pumps “phony” gains? Will it do more bad than good? Is it worth trying? Obviously, you can tell I’m desperate.

Good luck to you in your gains prickle. I’ve had problems with the PJ as well. Overtime, it became harder for me to remain in a semi-erect state compared to when I started using the PJ (had no problems at all). I started manually jelqing again and will give the PJ another shot in another 1-2 months.

What was your PJ routine btw? It’s very rare not to gain girthwise in 9 months using the PJ. I know everybody is different but maybe your PJ routine had something to do with it… I’ve heard applying too much pressure isn’t too good either. Let us know how the manual jelqing comes along in another month or two.
