Question about IR light

So I’m reading all the best about IR light and I’m tempted to use it… Since I can’t afford an IR lamp, I’m considering using an IR bulb in mountable table lamp.

Question is, how good are IR bulbs in mountable table lamps compared to IR lamps that are factory made?

No difference whatsoever except the IR factory made lamp is designed to accommodate an IR bulb. Just make sure that the socket is ceramic and not metallic and you’re fine.

Yes, this is vital. The IR bulb makes the fitting and lamp really hot, so it all needs to be heatproof. As you read around the threads, there are some fairly inexpensive options guys here have found.

But the IR-lamps aren’t that expensive. I’m sure you can find one for 20-30 usd.

I truly recommend it since you can put it on your table and spot it against your penis. Very effective while doing stretches.

Actual stand up lamps are expensive for IR lamps. I bought a constrution lamp with the clamp, looks like a big semi circle waterbowl (metal) that you use outside and use it in my room. It was cheap like 12 dollars from lowes (hardware store). IR light

Trust me, I’ve got only around $5 in my wallet right now and when you account shipping into the price it gets well above $20-30. Those may seem like low prices to you guys, but recession has hit my country really bad and being a student living with parents I simply can’t get money for that right now. I tried to hint them today that I could use an IR bulb in existing table lamp because my elbow aches and they weren’t too happy with the idea (they were sceptic about IR light and thought it’s unnecessary waste of money).

Anyway, that’s why I’m considering an IR bulb. If it’s as good as IR lamp, great! Table lamp that I have has 3 joints so it’s really easy to adjust appropriate distance and angle. I might have to change the socket, though, I’m not sure it has ceramic one.

Do those construction lamps have a ceramic socket? I used one 5 or 6 years ago, but I don’t remember. I don’t know if I had a good enough bulb either.

Is what I’ve got. It’s pretty damn cheap for what it is. If you hunt around ebay you should be able to get it for about $30 cheaper still. Recommend!
