What is the difference between cutting the sleeves short like you suggested and leaving part of it folded back over itself to shorten said sleeve? The seal length/area, as well as amount of skin exposed, appear the same.

Ah, I see. Since I knew what you were trying to say before, the tons of extra information from the linked experiment made it seem like I was missing something. Couldn’t figure out what it was, but it wouldn’t surprise me. ;)

Just a quick 2 cents here—-Has anyone tried those DIY dildo kits? The kits that supply you with all the stuff you need to make a dildo copy of your penis? Would those kits help with this?

Hey kook! That is another project I’ve worked on which I’ve called “CopyCock”. In the picture, on the left is a mold, center a cast candle, right a dildo that can be used with the vacu-lock system from Doc Johnson. But, I’m a little burned out on this type of project for a while and I don’t see that being much help with a silicone sleeve.

I’m doing some research into silicones for something I want to try to produce. Do you know of anything similar to either CyberSkin or Vixskin (sex toy materials) which can be purchased and molded by a DIYer?

I’m going to try making some of my own sleeves, just checking though.. Would silicone from a caulking gun work for this, did you experiment with different types of silicone?

The Cyberskin is trick stuff. One of our other members here has done some “sex toy” experimentation with the smooth-on stuff mentioned here by creating his own mold. Not sure if he’s tried it yet, but it looks promising. Maybe he’ll chime in here at some point. :)

sixinchman - Silicone from a caulking gun won’t work. It is designed to dry with air contact and in a bead less than 1/4” thick. If it were to go into the mold, the stuff at the bottom would never cure. It’d be like putting the silicone from one tube into another. Which brings up the second problem, it wouldn’t go into the mold anyway as it’s too thick. It would have been nice though, a lot of sleeves for $3.95 at PE Depot.

I wish I’d figured out the brake vacuum pump so I could have included my spare one in the kit, I’m extremely happy with how that has worked. If JohnMac still has the kit on Monday, I may forward that along so everyone ends up with the improved version.

What I’ve tried is just using a textured pipe as the inside mold; specifically one of these flexible sprinkler risers: http://www.bizr ate.com/waterga … d467828609.html

I found it in the sprinkler parts section at Home Depot. It’s a half-inch thread, so it will create a sleeve with an interior dimension similar to that made by the half-inch PVC or galvanized pipe.

I only made one sleeve with it so far that’s about about 2.5 inches long. (In the picture I’ve attached I’ve turned the sleeve inside out so you can see the texture.) I have tried it. It’s nice for jerking off, but it needs to be longer to stimulate more of the head and shaft at the same time. When I have a chance here in the next few days I’ll try making a longer one. That sleeve was also done using 1.25" PVC pipe as the outside of the mold, so the wall is at least 1/4" thick, which makes the sleeve a bit too inflexible and too tight. Next time I’ll try using the 1" pipe.

I’ll also try the longer version with my Vac-Hanger. The textured inside might be of some benefit, although the un-even surface might mean I’ll need to seal the little hole air-escape hole on the Vac-Hanger with some tape.

Before I got totally spoiled with my Fleshlight, one of my all-time favorite whack off tools was this Hand Job Stroker , but the little nodules inside got kind of rough during a long session. The texture made by the sprinkler riser is smoother, while still providing a lot of stimulation.

This textured inside tangent deserves further exploration. Like, for someone who doesn’t own a dog, I spent entirely too long fondling the items in the dog toy aisle at the pet store yesterday.
