Skilled Relaxation and PE
has anyone had any experience combining skilled relaxation (i.e. meditation, deep breathing, or any other relaxation technique) with their PE efforts? I have talked to two people who said that one of the noticeable side effects of dilligently practicing some sort of relaxation technique 2x/day for 20 minutes is a significant impact on the flaccid fullness/size throughout the day. I have researched these techniques for many years (i am a med student/naturopathy major in NYC) and it makes sense that this would occur: Consistent practice of relaxation techniques discharges stress from the hypothalamus (see The Stress of Life by Hans Selye, MD), thus reducing the chronic fight or flight (FOF)tension (a.k.a. bracing) that builds up every day. When we are tensing our bodies chronically (as most of us do to some degree in various areas in reaction to stress), the FOF reaction causes blood to flow to the major muscle groups in order to prepare you to “fight” or “flight”. Unfortunately, blood leaves areas for which intense physical activity is unnecessary (i.e. the extremities and digestive system) in order to do this; this would include the genitals. (This explains why the penis can retract in reaction to stress) Moreover, we all know that any stimulant can cause penile retraction/shrinkage, and stimulants have similar (though more concentrated & intense) action to the FOF response. So, by discharging the buildup of stress (and thus chronic bracing), the penis receives much more blood flow for much of the day.
After practicing for a while your hands will stay warmer, you need less sleep, and many other benefits accrue of which I am sure you have all heard. I have experienced it myself, but have not been doing it long enough to see results (most benefits of meditation/relaxation start at 3-6months and continue to accrue for a year or more) Also, skilled relaxation is only effective if done at least 2x day for 20 min, and should be done at least 2 hours before retiring and should never be done before exercise (after is good though)
Moreover, I am sure some of you have heard of visualization or “autobiostimulation” as some websites have called it. We already know that visualization has been proven to work for increasing levels of immune chemicals and there was even a study showing women were able to increase their breast size through dilligent practice of imagery/visualization. Wether this could work for penis size, i do not know for sure, but I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that it is possible.
For any type of visualization to work, you MUST first become skilled at entering a relaxed state, also known as the relaxation response or the “alpha state” (as measured by an EEG). The only way to know this for sure is by being tested by a biofeedback practitioner, but many poeple will know when they reach the alpha state. This is the state in which the brain is finally receptive to all these self-enhancement & healing techniques (i.e. hypnotic suggestions, visualization, emotion releasing, rescripting behavior, energy healing such as reiki, remote viewing etc.) It is also why so many people get nothing from visualization because they are not really doing it correctly or it is not producing results quick enough, so they throw out the baby with the bathwater so to speak. These are all skills which must be developed like muscles; they cant be forced, you must let the relaxation happen
I know this may sounds a bit “out there” to those of you unfamiliar with holistic/wellness techniques, but I believe in it 100% and have seen the benefits in others and myself. If anyone is interested in further reading I can tell you some good references on the subject available at most libraries. Just my $0.02
