So, what about caffeine ?

I was reading old topics and posts on the forum about flaccid size and while going from one thread to another trying to find something useful about flaccid (some days before the topic Big Girtha wrote was on the top of first page), I saw somewhere that caffeine is perhaps bad for flaccid, because it works as a vaso constrictor. I asked myself why is that. Also how is that done. Being addicted to coffee as I am, If the way it works can be taken into consideration and still consume it in a way that is not bad for my PE, now , that would be good.

So I hopped onto Google and started reading about caffeine, and one cool thing I read was this :

Which pretty much says (If I understood correctly) that only via adrenaline the blood flow is less on body parts that "must be protected" and on the brain because of the adenosine receptors being filled by caffeine.

And now, there is one question, if this is a fact, then should one avoid having high adrenaline levels while PEing ?

What are your thoughts on this ?

Any input is appreciated, I hope this is not something already discussed. Thanks.

Skydiving, base jumping, and participation in the "X Games" while PE’ing is definitely out for ol’ GM.

Well, that’s funny, sure. But what I meant is that there are some drinks (such as caffeine) that can boost adrenaline in your body and if what I said above is correct about blood flow on the penis, perhaps they should be avoided sometime before PE.

Well, considering that many guys here (including me) have reported gains in EL and FL while taking vasodilators, you have a good point.

Of course, the addiction does complicate things…

well think about it this way. Maybe you remember, but maybe not. If you’ve ever been in a situation of HIGH adrenaline (near-miss with an 18 wheeler on the freeway, adolescent fight situation etc) don’t you recall a bit of “shrivelling”? I can certainly recall the feeling of adrenaline pumping and along with this I am fairly certain I shrivel under high stress/adrenaline pumping situations. Fight or flight response tends to focus blood and energy on required parts of the body.

Like the OP I am a serious Caffeine addict. I usually down between 1-2 pots a day.. Although lately since I’ve started a good muscle exercise routine I haven’t felt the need for so much caffeine so I’m down to about 1/2 - 1.5 pots a day.

My question is this.. Are there any serious gainers here who are also big coffee drinkers? If you know someone say so.

I allow myself this addiction because I need some-damn-thing. I don’t smoke, drink, do drugs, etc. I no longer eat unhealthy.. You can only take away so many enjoyments in your life! If someone is going to suggest taking away the caffeine then I’m going to suggest you give me a new thing to be addicted on which will provide me with enough endorphins to make it through the day. But if you tell me drinking coffee’s gonna hinder penis gains or health, I’ll think 2x about it, and look for another drug.. Maybe heroin this time :)

Edit: There have also been tons of recent studies showing that coffee has many many health benefits. Some even say the more you drink the better, I’m sure all things have a limit though.

Try long distance running! Injured runners missing their endorphin rush are a real pain to be around.

Maybe it’s the adrenalin or perhaps just the body’s self protection mechanism, but ask any fighter and they’ll tell you flaccid hang disappears when you get in the ring.

How about treating the problem, rather than the symptoms: find the roots of your addiction, kill them, and the tree of addiction will wither and die.

Thanks for the advice GlandMaster but I don’t know what you’re talking about. Are you suggesting a psychological reason for my addiction or a physical one? Because a person doesn’t need either to become addicted to something. Any lab rat if given the choice between heroin and food will choose the heroin. If there is a root to my addiction it is called our biochemical nature. Luckily I’ve never even considered using hard drugs, smoking, or alcohol. The only addictions I’ve allowed myself to have are sex, coffee.

Here is the root of the problem: A person has a background level of endorphins being circulated in the brain. Endorphins make you feel good and happy. If, one day, a person trys heroin(or coffee, or running, or amphetamines) then that endorphin level increases temporarily but then comes back down eventually. Now the person knows what it felt like to feel more ‘good’ and his original endorphin level doesn’t meet the quota anymore. This is withdraw.

This is the usual way someone becomes addicted to something.. So how can the root of that addiction be killed? It can’t - because it happened in the past. In order to get over it you’d have to go through quite a bit of time in an ultra-low endorphin level by giving up your poison. And , as stated, I ALLOW myself coffee because it’s not nearly as bad as other things and it gives me energy to boot. I also think we’re all addicted to something. If I find coffee is hindering dick growth then I’ll reconsider because sex is an even better drug.

Any big gainers out there who also drink coffee? Speak up :)

Who doesn’t drink coffee? In my opinion all the bad-talk concerning tea and coffee is predominantly urban myth. They don’t dehydrate and they’re both actually quite good for you. As for adrenaline affecting penis growth that’s taking this whole thing to the next obsessive level. Mark my words in a few years someone (possibly me) will be selling hand-held adrenaline level blood-test machines for the aspiring grower, only available right here at T’s Place.

It is more about curiosity than obsession.

My apologies I didn’t realise all this talk about not drinking coffee or sky-diving before PE was entirely hypothetical.
